“Grown Ups 2” – A Hurt Your Sides Summer Comedy KIDS FIRST! Coming Attractions,


The sequel to the 2010 blockbuster, “Grown Ups 2” follows Lenny, Eric, Kurk and Marcus after they start their new lives by moving back to the town where they grew up. The film takes place over the course of one day, the last day of school. Lenny plans a kick-start-to-summer party and, as the crew prepares for the festivities, things go awry. As usual, the grown ups are up to their old tricks of messing around like when they were younger, but now the kids are growing up and getting into trouble of their own. Starring comedic actors Adam Sandler, Kevin James and Chris Rock, this movie has all the makings for laughter. The only problem is the lack of real substance according to KIDS FIRST! Say Cheese! pediped® is looking for the next rising star! pediped® announces national casting call; winner receives trip for two to Las Vegas


Is your child comfortable showing off his or her sweet smile and pinchable cheeks in front of the camera? If so, pediped® is looking for you! The award-winning children’s footwear brand is hosting a national casting call in search for the next rising star to model in its photo shoot this fall. The casting call began July 22, 2013.

To participate in the casting call, photos can be uploaded to during the submission phase. The submission phase will run from July 22 to July 26. One grand prize winner will be selected by pediped® founder, Angela Edgeworth for a trip for two to Las Vegas to partake in the Spring/Summer 2014 photo shoot in October. America will have the chance to vote for their favorite, too. Photos will be displayed in an online photo galley during the voting phase, July 31 through August 9.  Along with a grand prize winner, the photo that receives the most votes in each of the three stages, Originals®, Grip ‘n’ Go™ and FLEX® will be featured on, pediped® social media pages and in pediped® marketing materials.

How the pediped® Casting Call works:


Entry Phase: From July 22 to July 26, parents in the US can enter their child in the contest by visiting and uploading a recent photo of their child for a chance to be featured in the pediped® photo shoot and national advertising campaign. Photos will be placed in a pediped® walking stage based on the child’s age – Originals® (age 0-12 months), Grip ‘n’ Go™ (age 13-24 months) and FLEX® (age 25 to 96 months).


Voting Phase: From July 31 to August 9, the photo gallery will be open for voting at  People can view and vote for their favorite photos and encourage friends and family to vote by sharing the contest on Facebook, Twitter or through email.  People are allowed to vote only once per photo per day.


Prizes: The photo with the most votes in each stage, determined by America’s votes, will be featured on and in pediped® marketing materials. One grand prize winner, selected by pediped® Founder Angela Edgeworth, will receive a $750 pediped® gift card and a trip for two to pediped’s photo shoot in Las Vegas. Part of Nationwide Search for Actors, Singers and Dancers Ages 10-17 for Upcoming Series and Movies Produced for Disney Channel and Disney XD


Disney Channel and Disney XD announce this year’s annual open call auditions will take place SATURDAY, JULY 27 and SUNDAY, JULY 28 in San Antonio, Texas.  The search for new talent ages 10-17 is part of Disney Channel’s and Disney XD’s ongoing initiative to find cast and develop diverse young actors, singers and dancers for series and movies produced for the kid- and family-targeted channels.


Judy Taylor, senior vice president, Casting and Talent Relations, Disney Channels Worldwide, said, “Our annual open call auditions give kids a unique opportunity to showcase their comedic acting skills and/or singing and dancing ability and be seen by a professional casting director. We look forward to discovering a range of diverse, talented kids at this year’s open call and helping make their dreams come true.”


The open casting call auditions will be held on Saturday, July 27 for last names beginning with A-M and Sunday, July 28 for last names beginning with N-Z from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on both days at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter, 101 Bowie St., in downtown San Antonio. All attendees are advised to park at any nearby public parking facility. Parking will not be available at the Marriott Rivercenter.

Queen Mary Celebrates Art Deco With Largest Collection In The World August 30 – September 2


It is a rare opportunity to become immersed in a time period other than your own. But that is exactly what The Queen Mary is presenting August 30 – September 2. This Labor Day Weekend, the 9th Annual Queen Mary Art Deco Festival welcomes visitors to step aboard the largest Art Deco collection in the world.


The Queen Mary and Art Deco Society of Los Angeles celebrate an art form that has influenced design in visual arts, furniture, fashion, architecture, and ocean liners for nearly a century. “We’re growing the festival,” says John Thomas, The Queen Mary Historic Resources Advisor and President of the Los Angeles Art Deco Society. “We continue to restore The Queen Mary, perhaps the best living monument to Art Deco, and every year our festival draws more people because of its authenticity.”
