Continuing with its activities marking the 125th Birthday of San Pedro, the San Pedro Historic
Waterfront District will host the LA Waterfront Summer Festival. Downtown San Pedro will be filled with activities including live entertainment, delicious foods, carnival rides and games, artisans and crafters, community  groups and a craft beer competition and tasting garden. The Festival is happening on Saturday, August 3rd (11 AM – 11 PM) and Sunday, August 4th (11 AM – 7 PM) on 6th Street between Pacific Avenue and Centre Street.
Saturday’s colorful lineup of main stage music will include performances by:

 TAIKOPROJECT, a hip (and not so traditional Japanese drum corps) that have performed at Disney World and on
Jimmy Kimmel Live
 Zydeco Party Band
 The Damselles, a quirky 60’s style doo-wop girls band
 Las Vegas pop show performers, The MVPs
 The Satin Dollz, a tap dancing and harmonizing all girls group
 Vaud & The Villains, a 19-piece 1930’s New Orleans’s Orchestra and Cabaret Show.

Sunday’s main stage will pay homage to the history of rock and roll. Some of the most successful tribute bands in the country will perform the music of Steely Dan, David Bowie, Stevie Nix, Elvis Presley and The Police.
One of the highlights for adults will be the craft beer competition and tasting garden. Brands including Kona and Goose Island plus many others are entered including the local, award-winning San Pedro Brewing Company. Taste tickets will be available at the Festival.

Festival goers 18 years-of-age and older can enter the free opportunity prize drawing for a chance to win $500 cash on Saturday and Sunday. Entries are limited to one per person each day. Entries forms will be available at the Festival information booth. For children and families, carnival rides and games along with locally made crafts and tasty festival foods will capture the flavor of an authentic street fair.
An indoor “cool zone” located in the Grand Annex adjacent to the historic Warner Grand Theatre will offer a place to sit and relax while short movies of the history of San Pedro will be shown, courtesy of The San Pedro Bay Historical Society.
