It also has a sleep mode. I also like that it comes with with a belt clip, extra battery, and a detachable lanyard. It has everything I need for when I go on a walk or hike. It is easy to set up and starts with zero steps every day. I really can’t think of any cons. I also really like that it is thin and easy to take along when out walking or jogging. Martha Clyne Year Round Down Comforter is a Must-Buy!

I absolutely love this comforter! It is nice and soft and a really bright white color but I love that it is absolutely comfy and cozy! It also fits really well on my queen size bed and I really can’t think of anything negative about it. It truly is one of the best comforters I own. I really like that it is not too heavy and it also can be washed and put in the dryer easily. Many people are allergic to goose down, and suffer with sneezing, coughing or headaches after sleeping with a down comforter or pillow. This one has a poly microfiber fill that has the same fluffiness and body heat-retaining properties as down but without the drawbacks.
I love that this one can be used year round and not just in Winter. It would also make a wonderful Mother’s Day gift this upcoming holiday! This one is a Must-Buy any time of the year!

It’s Raining Cats And Dogs

            In honor of the great, and important, work that the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) does for rescuing homeless and abused animals all over the country—VANS has decided to make a shoe that directly supports them! Together they have created an adorable line of animal-conscious shoes that donate back to the ASPCA. I am thrilled to be a part of the #LoveHallmark group and was thrilled to received a package of Mother’s Day Greeting Cards which included new designs from the Signature and Shoebox collections. They are just perfect for this Mother’s Day and already know which ones I am sending them too. I like that they have ones for Grandma, special Mom friends and your own Mom. The Shops at Montebello to Award Scholarships for Higher Education

The Shops at Montebello is seeking applicants for its 2015 scholarship awards program, meant to recognize graduating seniors from the Montebello Unified School District as they continue their education.

 

Applications are currently available in high school counselor’s offices throughout the school district, and completed applications are due on Friday, May 1, no later than 2 p.m. to their high school counselor.

 

“The Shops at Montebello loves to support our local youth, especially in their pursuit of higher education and career aspirations,” said Marida Petitjean, Director of Marketing and Business Development at The Shops at Montebello.

 

The Shops at Montebello’s Scholarship Awards recognizes local seniors in their pursuit of continuing their education at a 4-year college, community college or vocational school. The scholarship program was created in 1985, when the center opened, as a way to assist local students in recognizing their educational goals and to provide initial monetary support to achieve those goals.

 

Candidates will be evaluated on criteria including a combination of academic accomplishments, work experience, involvement in the community and essay content detailing why it is important to further their educational path after high school. In addition to the completed application form, applicants must meet the following requirements:

 

  • Be a graduating senior from the Montebello Unified School District and continuing on with their education (4 year college, community college or vocational school).
  • Submit 2 letters of recommendation
  • Submit a copy of their current school transcript
  • Submit the completed application to their high school counselor

 

Scholarship funds will be awarded upon official verification of enrollment in a post-secondary educational program. The verification needs to be brought to The Shops at Montebello Management Office, as they will handle the distribution of funds.  For questions, call 323 722-1776.
