Waxelene Creates Buzz In The Bee-auty Industry

Waxelene_lipBalm_BBB

Waxelene, the 100% natural petroleum jelly alternative, announces the launch of its revolutionary Lip Tube: a buzzworthy and all-natural beauty must-have with 100+ uses.

The Lip Tube ($3.99) joins cruelty-free Waxelene’s top-selling trio of doctor-recommended and celeb-approved products, made from only  four of the highest-quality ingredients: organic soy oil, naturally moisturizing beeswax, organic rosemary oil and natural vitamin E.

Created to relieve and protect skin for all seasons, the Lip Tube also functions as a makeup primer and remover. The all-purpose beauty essential actually moisturizes skin better than petroleum jelly because Waxelene’s patented aeration process, paired with the line’s natural ingredients, allows skin to breathe as well as remain soft and creamy, never greasy.

Waxelene’s Lip Tube beauty uses are endless and include:

  • Lip gloss/lipstick primer

  • Wear alone on lips for a subtle sheen. Just a dab!

  • Complexion enhancer: a dewy glow can be achieved on eyelids or cheek bones

  • Makeup remover (even mascara)

  • Moisturizing (non pore-clogging) night cream

  • Nail polish brightener

  • Eyelash nourisher

I received a sample to try out and my favorite way to use it is as a lip gloss! But, I had to try it to see if it really removes makeup and it works really well! I was impressed that it even removes mascara. This really is a Mom-Must-Have!

For a full list of uses, click here.  As if the 100+ uses weren’t enough to become a beauty must-have, the line even boasts an eco-friendly, green approach.

Our facility is fueled by 100% wind power and our boxes are made of 100% recycled material,” said Waxelene founder, Todd Cooper. “We use the most sustainable packaging we can get, including recyclable glass jars instead of plastic and BPA-free plastic for our tubes.”

All Waxelene products can be purchased online at https://waxelene.com/store or at other retail locations, such as: Whole Foods Market, Bed Bath & Beyond, CVS Pharmacy and Pharmaca.

About Waxelene:

Waxelene is the eco-friendly alternative to petroleum jelly. It has the same protective, waterproofing, moisturizing and soothing properties that doctors love, but contains no petroleum or hydrogenated oils. Waxelene’s ingredients include natural beeswax and oils like vitamin E and organic rosemary which soak in and nurture skin cells. Waxelene’s patent-pending aeration process gives it a silky smooth texture that won’t clog pores. Committed to the environment and healthy living, the makers of Waxelene endeavor to become more sustainable every day. From using natural and organic ingredients, to packaging in recyclable jars and tubes, and to implementing energy-efficient practices, Waxelene is striving to do its part to prepare for a petroleum-free future. New Daniel Tiger app from PBS KIDS!

unnamed

PBS KIDS today announced the launch of its third app from the popular series DANIEL TIGER’S NEIGHBORHOODDaniel Tiger’s Grr-ific Feelings for iPad.Designed for children ages 2-5 and produced by The Fred Rogers Company, the app for iPad is now available on the App Store, just in time for the back-to-school season and the premiere of new DANIEL TIGER’S NEIGHBORHOOD episodes later this month. Daniel Tiger’s Grr-ific Feelings extends the series’ social-emotional curriculum, helping kids identify and express their feelings through four engaging activities.

“In a recent survey*, parents told us that they value social and emotional skills as the most important tools for their child’s learning success,” said Sara DeWitt, Vice President, PBS KIDS Digital. “As families prepare for the school year routine with their preschoolers, PBS KIDS is excited to introduce Daniel Tiger’s Grr-ific Feelings, which helps kids learn to identify and express their feelings through words, play and songs. Not only will kids and parents enjoy playing together, these skills give kids confidence to express themselves as they grow and learn — both at home and in the classroom.”

The app is designed to empower kids to identify and express their wide and complex range of emotions. The four socio-emotional activities in the app offer kids a variety of interactive ways to accomplish this.

Ding! Ding! Play Daniel’s Trolley Game! – In Daniel’s Trolley Game, children will have fun driving the trolley and playing more than a dozen mini-games about feelings featuring Daniel and his friends. Children will learn to practice calming down, just as Daniel does, feel proud as they help Daniel, count to four with Daniel when he feels so mad that he wants to roar and more.

Sing-Along With Daniel! – In Daniel’s Sing-Along, children can choose from 18 of their favorite DANIEL TIGER’S NEIGHBORHOOD songs, each of which is fully animated and expresses a different feeling. This activity is a great resource for children and parents alike.

Express Yourself! – Daniel’s Drawing Easel has everything kids need to express themselves, including paints, crayons, stickers and more. Children and parents can save pictures to the gallery or share them with friends and family.

Strike a Pose to Show How You Feel! – In the Feelings Photo Booth, children can take pictures of themselves making their sad, mad or happy faces and see how Daniel looks when he feels that way, too.

Daniel Tiger’s Grr-ific Feelings joins PBS KIDS’ collection of popular DANIEL TIGER’S NEIGHBORHOOD apps, including Daniel Tiger’s Day & Night and Play at Home With Daniel. More information on PBS KIDS apps is available at pbskids.org/apps.

DANIEL TIGER’S NEIGHBORHOOD airs weekdays on PBS KIDS (check local listings). In addition to the new app, the series offers families new content on-air and online this month. Season 2 of DANIEL TIGER’S NEIGHBORHOOD kicks off on Monday, August 18, with a special one-hour premiere celebrating the arrival of a new addition to the Tiger Family: Daniel Tiger’s little sister Margaret. Additional new episodes air throughout the week. New games are also now available at pbskids.org/daniel, including “Bathtime Helper,” in which kids help give Margaret a bath, and “Sandcastle,” in which kids build sandcastles on the beach with Daniel.

Daniel Tiger’s Grr-ific Feelings is available for $2.99 from the App Store on iPad or at www.AppStore.com/PBSKIDS.

We had the opportunity to check out this app and highly recommend it! Great for children ages 2-5! They will learn and have fun at the same time!

Self Disclosure: I received a free code to check out this app and SoCal City Kids give the app a Thumbs-up!

I love the Nut Milk Bag because it is great for making Homemade Almond Milk! I am finding the bag to be very durable and it is reusable. I thought that it would be difficult to clean but it isn’t at all! It’s so easy to use. But, what I like best is that it really is strong and is just perfect for making Almond Milk. I don’t like pulp in my drinks and this really does keep the pulp out! The bag is 10×13 inches so it fits over bowls easily for straining. I have never attempted to make Almond Milk before using this and was really relieved to find it so simple to use! I also love that there is a Lifetime Money Back Guarantee. You can find it on Amazon.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Join the Herd and Raise Awareness for World Elephant Day

“If we do not act, we will have to shamefully admit to our children that we stood by as elephants were driven out of existence.”  Samantha Strindberg Wildlife Conservation Society.

96-elephants-full-logo

More than 35,000 elephants are killed by poachers each year for their ivory and the goal of the campaign is to stop the killing, demand and trafficking of elephant ivory.

Now, more than ever we need your support for a cause that is very important for the Wildlife Conservation Society – 96 Elephants. The 96 Elephants campaign, named for the number of elephants currently gunned down each day by poachers, focuses on: securing effective U.S. moratorium laws; bolstering elephant protection with additional funding; and educating the public about the link between ivory consumption and the elephant poaching crisis. You can learn more about 96 Elephants at the official site, www.96elephants.org

Make a Difference!  Go to 96elephants.org and sign-up and encourage your readers to take the pledge to not buy ivory and support the US ban (and state bans) against ivory sales.
