Books of the week: New to the adorable INDESTRUCTIBLES series: It’s Bath Time! and Rhyme With Me! from Workman Publishing

With more than 7 million copies in print, INDESTRUCTIBLES are built for the way babies “read”: with their hands and mouths.

Printed on a unique paperlike material that is nontoxic, washable, and rip proof, they hold up against anything little ones can throw at them, spill on them, or drag them through. And when INDESTRUCTIBLES get dirty, just rinse them off or throw them in the dishwasher—literally—and they’ll be all clean and ready for another round.

The latest installments in the series teach babies about bath time and rhymes:

·       It’s Bath Time! is perfect for reading right in the bath and will show babies how all kinds of little ones get clean.

·       Rhyme With Me! is a fun way to introduce little ones to rhyming and wordplay, with each page featuring bright illustrations and labeled vocabulary words that rhyme.

Perfect for baby showers, expecting families, and parents eager to introduce early learning concepts to little ones, Indestructibles are the mess-proof, rip-proof, and foolproof little books that could.

I received copies of these books and I highly recommend them for babies and toddlers.

Find them here.

Self Disclosure: I received free copies of the above books. Cover images were also provided.

Pepper, May 20th Pet of the Week!

Pepper’s big smile is diminished by the sad look in her beautiful, brown eyes. At 5 years old, this spayed pointer mix was turned in to the shelter by his owner. Pepper probably misses the children she lived with, and she has separation anxiety as well. She’s an overall good doggie but needs to be in a home with someone present all the time. Our shelter’s adoptions are conducted through appointment only, so call 562-570-PETS or email to meet Pepper. Ask for ID#A653096.

(This rescue encouraged by the usual suspects.)
