Dunkin’ Donuts, America’s all-day, everyday stop for coffee and baked goods, will open its 12,000th restaurant worldwide in Riverside on Tuesday, Sept. 20. The landmark establishment, located at 4922 La Sierra Ave, will open its doors to the public at 5 a.m. and serve guests Dunkin’ Donuts’ full array of signature menu items including fresh brewed coffee, Cold Brew, lattes, macchiato, iced and frozen beverages, delicious baked goods, sandwiches and seasonal favorites such as pumpkin flavored treats.
The opening of the 12,000th location in Riverside is especially exciting for Dunkin’ Donuts as the brand continues its expansion into the West Coast. Over the past few years, Dunkin’ Donuts has opened more than 30 restaurants in California and has about 300 new locations planned for development in the state over the coming years.
In honor of the milestone opening, the first guest in both the drive-thru and walk-in line who purchase any of Dunkin’ Donuts’ delicious menu items will receive a $100 gift card. Additionally, the first 50 guests to walk through the doors will be gifted a $5 gift card and reusable Dunkin’ Donuts travel mug. Throughout the day, customers will also be able to enjoy free samples, exciting Dunkin’ Donuts giveaways and photo opportunities with the brand’s beloved mascot, Cuppy.
Dunkin’ Donuts is committed to being an integral member of the communities it becomes a part of and focuses on supporting local causes related to hunger relief, children’s health and safety. To help in this effort, the restaurant’s grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony will include a $500 check presentation to both the Make A Wish Foundation: Orange County and The Inland Empire and the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Redlands-Riverside. Local dignitaries from the community will also be invited to join the ceremony and welcome Dunkin’ Donuts to Riverside.
The new location will be owned and operated by franchisee Parag Patel, who opened two Southern California Dunkin’ Donuts this summer in Villa Park and Yorba Linda. The Patel family has been a part of the Dunkin’ Donuts franchisee community since establishing their first Maryland location in 1989. Patel’s extensive experience in the restaurant industry and personal connection to Dunkin’ Donuts continues to inspire his West Coast expansion efforts as he plans to open about 20 new Riverside and Orange County locations in the coming years.
