Thanksgiving is almost here and we all know that means that Christmas will soon be here! Almost time to send out Holiday  and Christmas Cards! Shutterfly is my favorite to-go-to website for cards because they have so many choices! I had the opportunity to receive Christmas cards from Shutterfly and am thrilled with how they came out! I am soo thrilled that I do not want to post a picture of one here because I know some of my family and friends read my website! So, the above are three of my favorites this season!  I love how you can personalize them so easily and that there are so many choices. There really are so many choices that it is difficult to choose but after choosing the theme, it is so easy to add photos and your text.

I had so much designing our card with all the different photos. (Guess that narrows down the choices..only two of the above have that option). I even included our pets!

Just check out these awesome holiday cards at Shutterfly !”  And, don’t forget to check out all the wonderful holiday photo gifts at Shutterfly !”

And a CD…..

Best-selling children’s recording artist and preschool television favorite Laurie Berkner will release a two-disc album, Laurie Berkner’s Favorite Classic Kids’ Songs, on October 23rd.  The album includes 51 well-loved, traditiional children’s songs, plus six “bonus” tracks of favorite Laurie Berkner originals.

While beautifully capturing the up-to-date sound of The Laurie Berkner Band that fans know and love, Laurie Berkner’s Favorite Classic Kids’ Songs is the only album Laurie has ever released that is comprised almost exclusively of traditional songs.  Highlights include a rollicking “When The Saints Go Marching In,” an “Amazing Grace” that achieves its depth of meaning by parsing away the non-essentials, and a funky, hip-hop take on “This Old Man,” with additional rhymes penned by Laurie.

Other highlights include a duet performance of “There’s A Hole In The Bucket” with Laurie Berkner and Brady Rymer that’s filled with spontaneous hijinks, a “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” that hits a home run in the third inning with its swinging jazz style, and “Old King Cole,” featuring the fantastic fiddle of Kenny Kosek (Laurie Anderson, Steve Goodman, John Denver, James Taylor, Jerry Garcia), as well as renowned jazz trumpeter Warren Vaché (the Benny Goodman Band, the Concord Super Band, Bucky Pizzarelli, George Wein, Howard Alden).

This CD is just a whole lot of fun for younger kids! I highly recommend! I really like the lyrics and the upbeat melodies.

A former preschool teacher by day and indie rocker by night, Laurie Berkner started marketing her music more than fifteen years ago from her living room on her own label, Two Tomatoes Records.  She is now widely recognized as a pioneer in the “kindie” music genre and was crowned “the undisputed queen of kindie rock” by USA TodayThe Wall Street Journal noted, “Her music is distinctive because it speaks to kids without talking down to them, charming youngsters without boring grown-ups.”

Laurie was the first artist to ever appear in music videos on Nick Jr. and was featured in nearly all the episodes of the channel’s Jack’s Big Music Show (now available on the NOGGIN video subscription app).  She currently stars in the animated musical short-form series Sing it, Laurie! on the Sprout preschool channel, makes regular appearances on Sprout’s Sunny Side Up Show, and is a frequent presence onSiriusXM’s Kids Place Live channel.

Laurie Berkner’s Favorite Classic Kids’ Songs is available wherever favorite albums are sold, at, and at all digital retailers, including iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Spotify, and more.

Our product suggestions for the Cold and Flu Season!

It’s that time of the year! Cold and Flu Season!

As I write this, I am fighting with the dreaded cold bug myself!

Here are some of our suggestions for this season!

unnamed (1)  unnamed

The first to top our list is drug-free alternatives for kids!

Kids Relief and Xlear have developed kid-friendly, safe products that will provide a solution to your child’s most frustrating discomforts during cold & flu season.  Kids Relief has created a homeopathic line that will tackle all of your child’s symptoms during these trying months.  The company prides itself on natural products that provide fast-acting and effective relief all without the use of dyes or sugars.  Some of the widely used medications include the Cough & Cold Syrup and Flu Oral Liquid.

If that’s not enough, Xlear has produced Kids Xlear Nasal Spray, a tried and true formula  that will conquer even the worst sinus troubles.  What’s the magic ingredient?  The nasal spray is infused with xylitol, a plant-derived ingredient that helps to naturally draw moisture, keeping nasal passages cleaner than with just saline alone.  Xylitol, which also aids in dental hygiene, and those suffering with diabetes, is also a proven bacteria fighter!  Xylitol sprays have been shown to decrease incidence of ear infections and stimulate the body’s own natural nasal cleansing system. What I like best is that there is no harmful side effects!

I received samples and it is a relief to have them in the house!

The next product is a real must-have to keep in the house!

I love how easy it is to use! I love that children will not mind having their temperature taken with this product!

As we head into cold and flu season, take the stress out of caring for your little ones with the Exergen Smart Glow TemporalScanner™, ideal for parents who are caring for a sick child.

The TemporalScanner™ comes with four ways to make it even easier to take a temperature:

·      A softly illuminated display for easy reading in any light – perfect for checking the temperature of a sleeping infant in a darkened room

·      Beeping sound indicating scanning can be turned off or on to avoid waking a sleeping child

·      Automatically retains the last eight temperature readings for instant recall to check on fever progression

·      Ability to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius modes

Made in the United States, the Exergen Smart Glow TemporalScanner™ is the number one preferred thermometer by both nurses and pediatricians, and is backed by more than 50 clinical studies proving its accuracy.

Sold in major retailers including Wal-Mart, Target, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Costco, Babies “R” Us, Toys “R” Us, Kroger and BJ’s, the Smart Glow thermometer’s suggested retail price is $49.99. To see real moms testing the Smart Glow thermometer and demonstrating the new features, please visit

There is also the “Exergen Covers You” Sweepstakes that is going on right now. You can enter weekly for a chance to win a prize pack including an Exergen TemporalScanner™ Thermometer, Exergen Stadium Blanket, and Exergen Time Out Gift Card. Very cool!

This next one has been a real hit with  me this past week!

pine bros puck    PB_wildcherry_32ct_b#E8F09D

Pine Brothers throat drops have been a real necessity for me since the cold bug has hit! I like that they taste good and they also are effective! These are found in the cough drop isle, are not a cough drop.  There are no medicines or questionable ingredients in this  product.  Pine Brothers throat drops are all natural; glycerin is the active ingredient.  I like that they are soft in texture and they are great to take to work with me since they do not have any medicine in them. I also like that there is such a wide variety of different flavors. I tend to change on my favorite but this week it is the Wild Cherry Flavored!

They can be found at many locations near you! I know I always find them at Target and CVS. They are a must-have for the cold season and anytime!

Holiday Gift Suggestions for Alice in Wonderland Fans from GoneReading!

I’m a huge fan of Alice In Wonderland! I loved the story as a child and still am a fan today. The story is just simply imaginative and magical to me. I am also a huge fan of the GoneReading website! Maybe it is because I love to read but they have some of the most unique gift ideas!

Here are two of my favorites this holiday season!

I just love the Alice in Wonderland Notecards! The set is simply whimsical! I am having fun sending them to my best friend who lives in Northern California! The set includes eight die-cut notecards and envelopes, two each of four original illustrations of Alice, The Mad Hatter, Queen of Hearts and the White Rabbit. Each card measures approximately 8-1/2″ x 3-1/2″. And, that’s not all! The set also includes four pages of stickers with unique messages, quotes and imagery. It’s a must-buy and retails for $12.95.

I also love to journal even though I admit, I have fell behind lately. What better way to catch up again than with an Alice in Wonderland Journal: Who in the World Am I? I love this little journal! It is from Moleskine and the pages are lined to record your thoughts.  It’s just the perfect size to keep in your purse or to keep on your nightstand.

Includes original illustrations by John Tenniel along with the fine details found in all Moleskine journals.

Includes themed inserts, a ribbon bookmark, and an expandable inner pocket with themed stickers.  The flyleaf features a page of author Lewis Carroll’s original handwritten manuscript.

This would make a great stocking stuffer! It retails for $18.95. There are also different Alice in Wonderland journals on the website.

HP #StickaPic Party and Celebrating our Pup and his 1st Birthday!

As an HP Smart Panel member, I received free products in order to host the HP #StickaPic Party. The opinions expressed here are my own.

I’m one of those moms that has to take photos of everything! Top that off with being a blogger and that means a lot of photo taking! I was more than thrilled to have the opportunity to have a HP #StickaPic Party. What a great idea for celebrating special moments! I originally had a craft party planned but then the dreaded cold bug entered my home and plans changed. But, as many of you know, our family rescued a pup this last Spring (Bink) and he is a real special part of our family.

Bink turned 1 this past weekend and we decided to throw him a HP #StickaPic Party complete with homemade apple peanut butter pupcakes and mini cupcakes, cookies and Chex Mix for the rest of us.

The most fun for my son and our family besides our dog (I think his favorite was eating the cupcake!) was making a Wall Collage celebrating our special day. Thanks to HP Social Media Snapshots, this was a snap!  Have you seen the HP Social Media Snapshots sticky-backed photo sheets? They are really fun and so easy to do! You can find them at Staples. They are 4×5 photo paper and the back peels off so that you can stick it on whatever you want. I was a little leery of sticking them on our walls but happily discovered that you can remove them about as easily as you put them on. I am already thinking of more projects for Christmas gifts this year!

The first thing to do is to download the HP Social Media Snapshots app (available both in the Google Play and iTunes stores for free). I simply love how easy this app is! You simply go to your social media sites and select the photo you would like to print and print on your computer! It doesn’t really get any easier than that!  I do recommend the HP Envy printer because I honestly do love mine!

I just love these photo sheets and will be featuring a couple more craft ideas over the holidays. The HP Social Media Snapshots sticky-backed photo paper is a real must-try this holiday season!  Here’s a really great deal!  I have been provided with an exclusive offer available until November 30, 2015. They are BOGO when you use the link above and click redeem now. That will give you 2 packages of 25 sheets  for less than $10. Now, how cool is that?!
