Halloween with PEEPS and MIKE & IKES!

It’s that time of year again! Halloween! I can’t imagine this fun holiday without PEEPS and MIKES & IKES! I received a Just Born Halloween kit to review and it is a big hit in our house!  The candy is delicious and we loved the Plush Purple PEEPS Bunny we received!  PEEPS marshmallow treats are making the Fall season even more festive with the launch of Halloween flavors and shapes just in time for trick-or-treating and Halloween party planning. What is so great about PEEPS is that they can also be used as colorful additions to baked goods and can be used in decorations too.

I am looking forward to adding the PEEPS Pumpkins to the top of Halloween cupcakes this year! They are just the perfect size and so cute with their decorated jack-o-lantern faces! I also love those PEEPS ghost-shaped marshmallows with their spooky faces! The PEEPS Chocolate Covered Marshmallow Pumpkins are my favorite though! These are individually wrapped marshmallow pumpkins enrobed in milk chocolate!  I also received the cutest Witch Chick Plush that includes 2-5 ct packages of PEEPS Brand Marshmallow Chicks. This would make the perfect Halloween gift!

But, we can’t forget about MIKE & IKES! This is my son’s favorite!  I received the following:

Coffee Dates From Hell by Jim Tilberry

I have to admit, it has been a long time since I have been out in the dating scene. I have been married since 2000 and was really off the market since 1997. This wouldn’t normally be a book that I would pick up since my married life began. It did sound like an interesting book and I do know that all my readers aren’t married. Now, even back in the 90’s, 80’s and way before..I do recall Coffee Dates. No, they aren’t always a bad thing but I have to admit, I do recall that they aren’t always the best thing either. I really enjoyed this book because it really is humorous and actually quite refreshing! The Author has such a way in telling these individual date stories, that you will find yourself laughing out loud.  I also was happy to say many of my dates weren’t quite as bad as some of these dates in the book and in a funny way, I feel that this book would give hope to a few of my single friends. I loved how different each story was from beginning to ending and loved the different twists in each story. There are stories of famous people and ordinary people and I laughed from beginning to ending.It is also a quick read. It’s just a fun book and may even give you a different perspective on dating. It’s really quite refreshing!

It’s an Old West tale about a second grade sheriff who rides into the town of Dry Gulch on a tortoise to save the locals from the bandits that call themselves The Toads. But, these aren’t your average Toads and Ryan the Second Grade Sheriff isn’t your average Sheriff! A fun story for young children with fun illustrations! It’s silly and will have you laughing from the beginning to ending. Although, Sheriff Ryan is only a second grader, he is very wise and I loved how he outsmarted the Toads in this story! My son and I give this one a thumbs up!

The best thing about the Ozeri Electric Wine Opener is that it is so easy to use! I have tried other Wine Bottle Openers in the past and they seemed to be a lot more difficult! This one really is so simple! I mean there really is only 4 very simple steps (like the box shows). You use the included foil cutter to remove the seal, then use a simple push-down button to remove the cork and a simple push-up button releases the cork. There really isn’t 4 steps..since step 4 is not really a step! Wine is ready to be poured! I did notice that it does work best in an upright position. I also like that it is modern and stylish looking and it will make a great holiday gift! It doesn’t take up much room at all. The Bonus Aerating Pourer is also a nice touch! This is a Must-Have for all Wine lovers and really would make a great holiday gift.
