Ferdinand Fox’s First Summer Written by Mary Holland Find at Sylvan Dell Publishing!

FerdinandFox_187

Growing up is hard to do!

Follow this photographic journal of a red fox as he explores the world around him during the first few months of his life. He’s about a month old when he first comes out of the den. Watch as he learns to hunt through play and by using his senses. See the changes as he grows from a young kit to a young fox. After all, by the next summer, he’ll have kits of his own! Naturalist photographer and environmental educator Mary Holland has captured Ferdinand Fox’s First Summer in a way that is sure to grab children’s hearts. My son and I received this book and loved watching Ferdinand’s journey. We also found the For Creative Minds section of the book interesting and fun to read! A wonderful book for the whole family! Find this book and many others at Sylvan Dell Publishing.

With beach season just around the corner, it’s important to start stocking up on summertime SPF essentials.   Laura Mercier and RéVive Skincare both offer a variety of products that contain UV protection for the face and body, so women can enjoy the sunshine this summer, not hide from it!

  •          TREAT AND CHEAT (TIME)RéVive Intensité Crème Lustre Day* offers anti-aging benefits along with SPF! This intensive moisturizer increases elasticity to firm, lift and tighten skin, while simultaneously protecting against harmful UVB/UVA rays. ($375)
  •        MINIMALIST MAKEUP: Many women prefer a light foundation when lounging by the pool or on a beach, as anything too heavy tends to melt away.  Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 offers sheer coverage, light moisturization and sun protection-! Toss this 3-in-1 multi-tasker in your beach bag to achieve the perfect dewy glow. ($43)
  •        CARE FOR YOUR CLEAVAGE: Whether in a bikini, a sundress or just a low cut tank, it’s important to make sure the neck and décolletage area look just as flawless (and ageless) as the face.  RéVive Fermitif Neck Renewal Cream SPF 15* defends skin from the sun’s harmful rays and also leaves the area with a smooth, taut, firm appearance. ($150)
  •       PROTECT THE POUT: Keep parched lips at bay with Laura Mercier Hydratint SPF 15. This multi-purpose lip balm contains long-lasting moisture, SPF protection and sheer natural colour, resulting in luscious lips at the beach or on the streets! ($20)

I received the  Laura Mercier Hydratint SPF 15 and love that it provides SPF protection! Finally a lip balm with great color for those days at the beach! I also received the  Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 and love this product! Finally no need for foundation over SPF moisturizer! I love the sheer coverage that this one provides!

Self Disclosure: I received products to facilitate this review but any opinions are my own.

Space Warriors KIDS FIRST! Coming Attractions, www.kidsfirst.org

spacewarriors

“Space Warriors” is a live-action film about kids who attend Space Camp in Huntsville, AL. Though it is a fictional story, it is based on a real place and according to KIDS FIRST! Film Critic Gerry O., age 11, it “feels very real and positive.” All of our film critics agree that this is a fun and exciting film that inspired them to want to visit the real Space Camp. Adam C., Age 7, KIDS FIRST! Film Critic tells us that they even fact-checked the story with NASA “and it was plausible that this could have happened in real life.” Proving that it has multi-age and gender appeal, 13-year-old KIDS FIRST! Film Critic Cassandra H. calls this “a fun and unexpectedly down-to-earth film for all ages.”

Airing on May 31, this Hallmark Channel Original Movie  is perfect for the whole family. You can hear the KIDS FIRST!  discussion about this film on the KIDS FIRST! Coming Attractions Radio Show.Check out Adam C’s video review below.
