Summer is the perfect time to visit The Queen Mary! My son and I visited last week and loved it there, as usual! We were quite impressed with the World’s Largest Lego Brick Model Ship in The Shipyard on the Promenade deck. It measures 26 feet and weighs over 600 lbs! It is quite huge! My son also enjoyed checking out the Lego tables where he was able to create his own designs.

There are so many fun tours and things to do on the Queen Mary! Two of my favorites are :

• Audio Tour – Tour (1.5-2 hours) the Queen Mary at your own pace with our comprehensive Audio Tour. Learn the history of the Queen Mary while strolling the decks with our exclusive Queen Mary headset.
• Diana: Legacy of a Princess Exhibit – A priceless collection associated with Princess Diana and the Royal Family.

The Audio Tour is really cool because you and the family can explore on your own and at your own pace. It’s really pretty cool to  learn about the history of the Queen Mary. I love the Princess Diana Exhibit especially seeing all the pretty dresses that Princess Diana wore. It really is a Must-See exhibit!

Check out the Queen Mary this Summer! They have recently re-opened their gift shops too! My son and I really enjoyed visiting them. There really is something for everyone aboard the Queen Mary!

Looking for the place to take the family this Summer? Universal Studios Hollywood is a Must-Go-Visit place this Summer! Do you have a Simpson fan in your house? You will have to check out “Springfield!”

The layout of the park will become unrecognizable when “Springfield,” hometown of America’s favorite family, The Simpsons, breathes new life to the sprawling and vibrant space surrounding “The Simpsons Ride.”  “Springfield” is designed to capture the spirit of the animated town and engage visitors and fans of the show in the intensely absorbing and colorful world made famous throughout the series’ record-setting 26 seasons.

Guests visiting “Springfield” will have the pleasant sensation of being hurled through their television sets and into the accurately depicted town, complete with signature eateries such as Krusty Burger, Cletus’ Chicken Shack, Luigi’s Pizza and Phineas Q. Butterfat’s Ice Cream Parlor, along with Homer’s favorite hangouts, Lard Lad Donuts, Moe’s Tavern and Duff Brewery.

My family loved visiting “Springfield” on our visit to Universal Studios! We love the big pink doughnuts with sprinkles that you can find there too!

Looking for a fun place to go this Summer to beat the heat? Soak City is one of our top picks! So much fun for the whole family! My son and I can’t wait to go this month. I like that there really is something for everyone. There are Banzai Falls and Old Man Falls for those who love the water slide thrills. My favorite is the Sunset River, which is lazy river action. Just my speed! I could stay in there all day! Luck for me, this is also my son’s favorite.

Soak City is open now 10 am-7 pm daily through the rest of this month and July. Hours vary in August and September. To find out more, check out the website.

Denny’s, America’s iconic family diner, announced today the launch of a new kids menu featuring much-loved characters from DreamWorks Animation’s award-winning film and television franchises. Kicking off with Penguins of Madagascar, Puss In Boots andTurbo FAST, in addition to many popular characters such as Shrek appearing throughout the year, the colorful characters adorn Denny’s kids menu in a variety of interactive, themed puzzles and games to enjoy during mealtime. In addition, families will have access to a variety of fun family activities via the DreamWorks COLOR App along with an exciting selection of movie content, games and more.

Denny’s will offer three more engaging DreamWorks kids menus through 2015, inspired by films Mr. Peabody & Sherman, The Croods, Home, How to Train Your Dragon and more, and each featuring fresh new movie characters, themed games and activities from these titles for families to enjoy. In addition to new exclusive content, the menus also provide a delicious selection of customizable dishes from the ultra-popular Build Your Own Jr. Grand Slam®,  Junior Cheeseburger and Build Your Own Jr. Sundae, to a series of Kids LiveWell verified dishes and sides, such as Spaghetti, Steamed Broccoli, Apple Dunkers, Jr. Dippable Veggies and more.

My son and I enjoyed a breakfast visit to Denny’s in Rancho Palos Verdes this past week. We actually had never been to this location and was quite impressed with the service and the menu. The New Kids DreamWorks menu is pretty cool! There is quite a variety in the Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner options. I also thought that the Bring Home Your Animal Adventure Cup was pretty cool for kids. But, since my son ate most of his breakfast, I had let him order a Regular size Oreo Milkshake. I loved the New Iced Caramel Coffee! 

Since Mother’s Day is this weekend, I thought that I would select something sweet! So, I tried the Cinnamon Pancake Breakfast. It was really good but I couldn’t finish the whole thing! My son and I both give Denny’s a thumbs up! It’s a great place to go for Breakfast! The New DreamWorks Menu is great for Kids 10 & Under. Don’t forget Kids eat Free on Tuesdays 4 pm-10 pm!

My son and I were quite excited about this day and had it marked on the calendar! What I like best about Baskin Robbins is that there are always new flavors and such a great variety!
