Cabrillo Marine Aquarium Celebrates 10th Annual Halloween Event, “SEA SCARE”

The best family Halloween party around is back and only at CMA! Sea Scare, now celebrating its 10th year, is washing ashore with lots of thrills and chills on Saturday, October 24th from 7 to 10pm. See the Aquarium in a different light as it is transformed into an underwater world of chills, thrills and gills. Come in costume and join in the masquerade of ghouls and goblins, trick-ortreat throughout the aquarium at different themed treat stations and enjoy loads of fun and spooky entertainment.

Visit the Aquarium’s Aquatic Nursery for fun crafts and sea creature feedings. Stop by the Exploration Center for some treats, participate in bioluminescent crafts and learn about deep-sea creatures that lurk in our oceans. Enjoy the Marine Research Library for some creepy creations and spooky stories. Don’t forget to enter the Sea Scare Costume Contest for your chance to win some spook-tacular prizes. Sea Scare brings back all your favorite attractions like “Trick-or-Treat Trail” where guests can enjoy some sweet treats, try your luck at some of our carnival-style games at “Seaside Boardwalk”, visit “Skull Alley,” an exhibit brought to you by the Aquarium’s Collections Department, where you’ll get a close look at some real skulls of the ocean world and some…. not of this world, enjoy some exciting crafts in “Craft Corner”, or dance the night away at the “Zombie Beach Party”.

We also have some exciting Tricks and Treats to celebrate Sea Scare’s 10th Anniversary and the Aquarium’s 80th Anniversary. Plus, Aquarium Members get a special Early Entry into the event at 6pm. So come in costume and join in on the masquerade of ghosts and goblins, it’s sure to be a frightfully good time for the whole family! Apparitional activities, creepy crafts, dreadful demonstrations, and eerie entertainment all await you at “San Pedro’s Best Family Halloween Party,” Cabrillo Marine Aquarium’s 10th annual “SEA SCARE”, Saturday, October 24th from 7 to 10pm, Aquarium Members get a special early entry into the event at 6pm.

Get your tickets early, this event will sell out! Pre-sale admission is $5 for Adults and $1 for Children, day of event admission is $7 for Adults and $3 for Children, Aquarium Members are free with valid membership card. Pre-sale tickets are available for purchase at the Aquarium’s Gift Shop or online at www.cabrillomarineaquarium.org, processing fees may apply online. Parking is $1 per hour and free to members of the Friends of CMA. The Aquarium is located at 3720 Stephen M. White Drive in San Pedro and is a facility of the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks with support from Friends of Cabrillo Marine Aquarium.
