Mama Luma has cute Face Masks for your little ones!

They also have cute dresses too!

If you are looking for really cute dresses for your little girl, you have to check out Mama Luma. They also have some adorable patterned face masks for kids. I received a few samples of the masks and I highly recommend them!

Mama Luma has the perfect clothing options to capture memories from family photos to back-to-school or just an outing with your loved ones.

About Mama Luma: Mama Luma was started by co-founders and former college roommates Kevin and Ata. Ata wanted to bring his mother’s designs to life in California and believed that by blending the natural beauty of Santa Barbara with the elegance of European tradition and Mediterranean prints, he could inspire a new wave of chic fashion into the younger generations on the West Coast. With the help of his resources in Istanbul, Turkey, he and Kevin diligently worked to bring these hand-sewn, high fashion masterpieces to the world.

Books of the Week

The Screaming Hairy Armadillo

THE SCREAMING HAIRY ARMADILLO and 76 Other Animals with Weird, Wild Names (September 15, 2020; Ages 7-10/Grades 1-5; $14.95), a quirky compendium of curious animal species with the most bizarre monikers.

Perfect for elementary-grade students who are learning remotely this fall, The Screaming Hairy Armadillo gives readers the scoop on taxonomy—the science of defining and naming organisms—and how taxonomists invent names. And there is even a free downloadable Educators Guide for extra learning opportunities! This is a really fun book and I recommend for ages 7-11.

Matt Murrie is a former public-school teacher, curriculum writer, and private academy instructor. His father, Steve Murrie, is a retired science teacher. Together, they are the authors of Every Minute on Earth and Guide to the Planet.

Looking for some fun and educational board books? I love these from Happy Fox Books. These three new interactive board books will entertain just as much as they educate about our natural world. AntillBeehive, and Tree were released this past June 2020 and are sure to start conversations with young ones about what makes an anthill work, what exactly goes on inside a beehive, and what types of animals you may find living in a tree. The various layers and interesting flaps would appeal to two to three-year-olds, while the facts presented in each book will entertain children up to five.

These are sure to be a hit with toddlers and even Kindergarteners.

by Laurie Keller

When my son was young, one of his favorite Authors was Laurie Keller. He just really liked her Scrambled States of America books. Arnie the Doughnut is truly a funny story and now you can find Hello Arnie which was released in September. You can find it on

Self Disclosure: I received free copies of the above books except for Hello, Arnie!
