Wee Blessing is a New Kids Clothes Subscription Service that is a Must-Try!

Print

For busy parents on the go, Wee Blessing is a professional children’s styling service tailored to your taste, budget, and lifestyle that saves time and money!

But, what I found most impressive is the quality of the clothes! I was sent 4 outfits for my son to check out and I have to say that we were impressed!  Here are a few of our favorites:

img_4486    img_4487   img_4485

I was impressed with the name brands of clothing that we received in this box!  I am also quite impressed with the pricing. For example, the Hurley Blue Log0 Tee retails for $18.00 but the price if you keep it would be $9.00. That is half price of retail!

Each package comes with 4 outfits based on your child’s style profile that you provide. The items are delivered in a fun Wee Blessing box that children will be excited to receive and open. You decide what you love and send the rest back. The outfits fit sizes newborn to 14 and have discounts ranging from 40 to 80% off retail. If you decide to keep all 4 outfits in your blessing package you will receive an additional 10% off your entire order. You decide whether you’d like to receive a one-time blessing box or if you would like to sign up monthly or quarterly. There is no obligation to sign up and you can cancel at any time. Shipping is $9.95 per box, not per child (so if you have 10 children you will still only be charged $9.95!) Sounds pretty simple, doesn’t it? You will love the clothes too!

Brightly–books for kids of all ages & tips for parents!

hilo     nightmares

I recently learned about a great site for Parents and Kids called Brightly. As a homeschool Mom, I am really excited about this website. Brightly is a resource from Penguin Random House that features book recommendations from all publishers for every age and stage, reading tips, author essays, and more. This is really cool! I really like the following resource: Brightly’s Back to School Essentials,  which includes books for kids at every age level (Pre-K through High School), plus tips for parents to get back into the school groove. I know that it is already December, but I still find this quite helpful!

Brightly’s Back to School Essentials, includes books for kids at every age level (Pre-K through High School). They sent me a few books for the Tween age group and I was impressed. Two of the book choices are in the photos above! We also received the following:

Brightly Family Book Club: Hilo: The Boy Who Crashed to Earth

Graphic Novels? Yea, They’re Fun for the WHOLE Family

And, Brightly isn’t just a helpful School Resource, they also have some great holiday gift ideas this Holiday season!

Parents and educators will interact and teach children about shapes, from the round eye of a whale to the spiral on a snail shell.

Saturday Family Fun is for children ages four to six years old and their parents, another in the Aquarium’s series of “parent and me” classes. Parents and their children can interact together and delve into the ocean world. Take guided tours of exhibits and explore the realm of sea life with your family. Long Beach Student Honored with National Award for Volunteerism

At the young age of four, Jonas Corona was inspired and driven to help people. After visiting Skid Row with his mother to feed the homeless, he decided that he wanted to do more. With the help from his mother, Renee Corona, Jonas founded the nonprofit organization Love in the Mirror, which provides disadvantaged youth and their families with basic necessities such as food, clothing and learning materials.

Jonas and his family help organize Love in the Mirror’s collection drives for socks and other hygiene items. The family also regularly distributes peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to homeless shelters in the area.

Since its founding in 2009, Jonas and the organization have impacted more than 45,000 people through donations and fundraising. “Everyone should look in the mirror and love what they see. That’s the meaning behind the organization’s name,” Jonas said.

Jonas’ commitment and hard work to help others has garnered him recognition in his community, and now also nationally. In late November, the 13-year-old was one of four teens from across the country recognized by Nickelodeon as a young community leader, earning him a 2016 Nickelodeon HALO Award.

The same dedication that Jonas shows to Love in the Mirror is also evident in his commitment and passion for tennis.  Jonas aspires to become a professional tennis player, using the money he earns playing tennis to support Love in the Mirror.

Seeking a more flexible school schedule to allow him to focus on tennis and Love in the Mirror, Jonas enrolled at California Virtual Academy (CAVA), an online public school.

Now in his third year with CAVA, Renee Corona noted that online school is instilling the importance of time management in Jonas. If he gets behind on schoolwork or tennis, then he cannot do as much for Love in the Mirror. Jonas has to stay disciplined to keep all three balls in the air.

Receiving a 2016 Nickelodeon HALO Award was a highlight and exciting moment for Jonas, and he enjoyed gathering with friends and family for a watch party to celebrate the occasion when the awards show aired. But, now it’s back to the normal – tennis practice, coordinating the 4th Annual Toy Giveaway for Love in the Mirror on December 18, and maintaining focus on his schoolwork.
