The Huffington Post is also launching the #SleepRevolution College Tour at 50 campuses, including Stanford, Georgetown, UCLA, Ohio State, and the University of Georgia. To help students embrace sleep as a performance enhancer rather than something to be avoided, HuffPost has partnered with major brands, including Sleep Number, Jawbone, JetBlue, Marriott, Spotify, Lands’ End, Sleep Shepherd and Headspace, to host “sleep fairs” to give students tangible tools and products to make changes in their lives and to learn better sleep habits. Arianna and leading sleep experts will be speaking at campuses around the country, and there will be major social media campaigns, as well as sleep-themed blog posts and videos on The Huffington Post from students and professors.

In addition, The Huffington Post, in partnership with Uber, is spearheading a campaign to generate awareness around the dangers of drowsy driving. Lack of sleep can lead to cognitive impairment that’s as dangerous as driving drunk. Drowsy drivers are involved in 328,000 accidents each year, 6,400 of which result in deaths. Through collaboration with road safety advocates, this movement aims to get drowsy people out of the driver’s seat. In addition to activating policymakers and government officials, the campaign includes a dedicated PSA, sleep kit giveaways, and partnerships with companies committed to providing Uber rides for employees who work before or after a certain hour.

I received a copy of this book and have found it to be quite interesting and I have actually learned a lot about sleep. I highly recommend!


Arianna Huffington is the cofounder, president, and editor in chief of the Huffington Post Media Group, and the author of fifteen books. In May 2005, she launched The Huffington Post, a news and blog site that quickly became one of the most widely-read, linked to, and frequently- cited media brands on the Internet. Game of the month! Double Ditto!

Looking for a fun family game? Double Ditto is our top choice of this month!

Double Ditto is a lightly competitive party game that challenges participants to quickly come up with answers to simple subjects. For example, cards may say, “Commands You Teach Your Dog,” “Things Kids are Scared Of,” or “Ways to Get Rich Quick. Introduced last fall, this easy-to-learn game encourages social interaction and creativity with the goal of showcasing both commonalities and differences in people’s thought process.

This one is a great one for the slightly older kids and their parents! I would suggest 9+. Although I think that some eight-year-olds would be able to play if they have pretty strong reading and writing skills. Our family had so much fun with this one! It’s competitive but not overly competitive and I love how interactive it is!

The game comes with 400 category cards, a 15-second timer, score sheets and an instruction card. The Ditto Master reads  one of the Double Ditto game cards to the group, and the players have a set amount to time to write down two corresponding responses. Once the allotted time has passed, each player takes a turn reading their answers out loud. The objective is to match the answers given by other players. With each match, the player scores a “ditto!” If the player matches both answers, they score a “double ditto!” The player with the most points at the end of the game wins.
