Summer with popchips!

Summer is officially here! I love this time of the year! Time for picnics at the beach and time for popchips! So many delicious flavors that you could pick a different flavor for each day of the week. I also love that they are healthier than other chips. Bath Time with Laura Mercier!

After a day out in the sun, it’s great to pamper your skin! Laura Mercier has wonderful bath time products! The Creme de pistachio honey bath and the Almond Coconut Milk Body Butter are two of my favorites for the summer! It really isn’t easy to pick a favorite out of the two. The Creme de pistachio honey bath is inspired by the scent of pistachio nuts and cream. I love how this one smells! This foaming honey bath left my skin clean and soft! Ingredients include Vitamins A & E. 12 oz. and retails for $40.00. The Almond Coconut Milk Body Butter smells delicious…just like coconut and almonds. This one hydrates your skin and I like that it absorbs into the skin quickly. Ingredients include Shea Butter, Grape Seed Oil and Aloe Vera. 6 oz. retails for $35. “Monsters University”: A Refreshing Prequel From Pixar

Everyone’s favorite monsters from “Monsters Inc.”, plus a few more, are back in “Monsters University.” This time, instead of telling the story of what happened next, they’ve created a prequel to show us how the monsters first became friends and give us more insight into the characters. Mike, Sulley and the gang bring a ton of laughs to the screen as they learn how to become “scarers” and become best buddies in the process. KIDS FIRST! Film Critic Jailene A., age 13 especially loves the animation in this film, “every character has its own personality and special features, as none of the monsters look exactly the same.” She was excited to see an advance screening of “Monsters University” and shares her thoughts below.

THE LONE RANGER

From producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Gore Verbinski, the filmmaking team behind the blockbuster “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise, comes Disney/Jerry Bruckheimer Films’ “The Lone Ranger,” a thrilling adventure infused with action and humor, in which the famed masked hero is brought to life through new eyes.  Native American warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice—taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.

“The Lone Ranger” also stars Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner, Barry Pepper, James Badge Dale, Ruth Wilson and Helena Bonham Carter.

A Disney/Jerry Bruckheimer Films presentation, “The Lone Ranger” is directed by Gore Verbinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and Gore Verbinski, with screen story by Ted Elliott & Terry Rossio and Justin Haythe and screenplay by Justin Haythe and Ted Elliott & Terry Rossio. “The Lone Ranger” releases in U.S. theaters on July 3, 2013.

This one is made with a powerful antioxidant combo of dark chocolate, blueberry extract, lemon fruit, European herb extract and Canadian willow herb extract. I love how it feels on my skin and that it provides SPF 30! Retails for $18.00.

Balloons do come from trees-rubber trees. Told in rhyme, the story follows the wide variety of steps involved in making the air-filled decorations we all know and love. Starting with the tapping of the rubber tree, the ship that carries the liquid rubber to the factory, and the manufacturing process itself; readers will learn just how that latex balloon arrived at his or her house. This delightful, fun-to-read-aloud story is sure to give readers a new appreciation for balloons. Great for ages 3-8! My son and I enjoyed this book and my 9-year-old son said it was very interesting! Teachers and parents will love the educational section at the end of the book.
