Selina, Jan. 19th Pet of the Week

This darling dog is named Selina. Selina, a 4-year-old pit bull mix, was found in October with her buddy, abandoned and loose in the El Dorado Nature Center. The shelter was short-staffed that day, and both dogs had to wait in a nearby yard until the officers could pick them up. No one claimed them, and both went up for adoption. Selina’s friend got lucky, but Selina’s still waiting for her forever family. She’d do best in a home with no cats, but she does love people. In fact, her favorite trick is cuddling! You can speed the process to adopt or foster Selina and any of our other pets by emailing PetAdopt@longbeach.gov or petfoster@longbeach.gov. You can also call (562) 570-4925. Even better, stop by during our walk-in hours every Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. Our shelter is located at 7700 E. Spring St. Ask for ID#A686900 to meet Selina. We’re at capacity, and everyone needs homes!
