Segerstrom Center for the Arts partners with OC Animal Care, to host a special dog adoption event in conjunction with its upcoming family series production, New Owner. The performance follows Bart, an energetic shelter puppy, and Mabel, a lonely widow, whose lives are transformed when they find each other, capturing the unconditional love at the heart of every adoption story. Attendees can follow Bart’s journey to finding his forever home and then step outside the theater to meet real dogs on the same path.
This partnership brings together a love of live performances and a love for paws to help shelter dogs find their forever homes. This is a great opportunity for families to explore lessons in kindness and commitment, and give potential adopters the opportunity to begin a new chapter. Whether attending the show or looking to meet some furry friends, families are invited to come meet adoptable dogs, learn about the shelter’s mission, and support shelter pups by donating dog treats.
