Jump Into Summer at Newport Dunes This Memorial Day Weekend, May 25-28

Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort is pleased to present Memorial Day weekend filled with fun activities and special events, May 25 – 28, 2018. From kids to adults, ‘80s lovers to country music fans, craft beer aficionados and watersports enthusiasts, all will find the perfect way to kick off the summer at Newport Dunes.

On Friday, May 25, Newport Dunes will unveil the expansion of their Inflatable Waterpark, open to the public seasonally through Labor Day weekend. Doubling in size, the fleet will include ten large inflatables featuring a new 17-foot slide, two trampolines, and a 14-foot and 7-foot climbable iceberg. Additions will also introduce monkey bars, bouncers, and teeter totters. One section of the park will be dedicated to smaller children.  This is added to the lineup of favorite water activities from Newport Dunes Watersports which includes kayaks, pedal boats and stand up paddleboards available for rent.

For those looking to relax, enjoy private beachside cabanas between dips in the calm waters of the gorgeous Upper Newport Bay. Experience the luxury of fully stocked RVs and beachside cottages available for rent for the ultimate summer glamping experience.

The evening of Friday, May 25, get amped for 80’s on the Bay with host and DJ for the night, Richard Blade from Sirius XM and Jack FM spinning favorite ‘80s hits from 7-10 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Enjoy waterfront dining and cocktails at Back Bay Bistro before the music starts or choose from a variety of food trucks and full bar service available throughout the evening. Join the fun and dress in your ‘80s best to participate in the costume contest.

Newport Beach Beerfest returns to Newport Dunes on Saturday, May 26 from 7-10 p.m. With your toes in the sand, enjoy the picturesque sunset on the bay while sipping unlimited samples of over 150 craft beers, wines and spirits.  Listen to live bands and DJs and indulge in a food truck tasting village. Tickets for this all-inclusive event are $35 for general admission and $50 for VIP admission. Purchase of VIP tickets grants early admission to the event at 6 p.m. and includes access to the exclusive VIP lounge with 12 additional breweries, separate entertainment and more. Nashville meets Newport on Sunday, May 27 with Boots on the Beach from 4-10 p.m. Dust off your cowboy boots and experience the best in country music with live performances by Gethen JenkinsShotgun JeffersonMorgan Leigh BandTina Michelle, plus Host and DJ for the evening David Bugenske from Go Country 105.
