Hardy, Dec. 6th Pet of the Week

AWWWWW! Sooo Cute! He would love a forever home for Christmas!

Hardy is one of the many pets who fled in terror from holiday fireworks and was lucky enough to find shelter at Long Beach Animal Care Services. He came in on July 5 and has been there ever since, because unlike other lost pets, his owners never came in to claim him. He’s just a year old! Hardy has begun to run in circles in his kennel—it’s called spinning—because huskies need to be out and about. When he goes for walks or plays in the yard, he’s delighted and ready to make friends with humans and other dogs. He’s even passed his “driving test,” meaning that he’s shown himself to be comfortable riding as a passenger in a vehicle. Now, a lucky adopter will have no problem getting Hardy home! Long Beach Animal Care Services is over capacity with dogs, so speed the process to adopt or foster Hardy or any of our other pets by emailing PetAdopt@longbeach.gov or petfoster@longbeach.gov. You can also call (562) 570-4925. Our shelter hours are Wednesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 7700 E. Spring St. at the entrance to El Dorado Park (no parking fee for shelter visitors. Ask for ID#A723920.
