Any time a pet winds up at a shelter, a sad story is behind it. This one’s particularly sad. This beautiful boy, whom shelter staff named Dolce—Italian for “sweet, and most appropriate—was found by a person collecting cans. Poor Dolce was very sick and had been tied up in a bag and tossed into a dumpster. The kindhearted person did the best to care for him but took him to the shelter where the medical staff made him healthy. He’s affectionate, grateful and ready to go home.
