Cherry Pie isn’t a dog. She’s a doggie. She’s all sweet filling and no crust, and staff and volunteers have fallen madly in love with her. Cherry Pie came in as a stray and was never claimed. She’s a 10-year-old German shepherd mix, but she’s a senior like Betty White is a senior— full of curiosity and playfulness. Later, though, it’s snuggling and affection.
