Smokey and Missy II were surrendered at the shelter by someone who claimed that they’d found the dogs. When the staff checked their microchips, it turned out that the finders were actually the owners. These two deserve better. November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month, and we hope that Smokey, a senior 13-year old Labrador retriever, will go to a loving home with his caregiver, Missy II, a 7-year-old healthy German shepherd. Smokey has some health issues, but he deserves to live out his years with love instead of prematurely at our shelter.
