Pic’s Really Good Peanut Butter is delicious!

Pics_logo

I love Peanut Butter! So, I was thrilled to learn about Pic’s Really Good Peanut Butter and even more excited to try it! I was not disappointed! Actually, I honestly think that this is now my favorite Peanut Butter!  I tried the Smooth with No Salt and it is simply delicious!

Pic’s Really Good Peanut Butter (www.reallygood.co.nz), New Zealand’s #1 selling peanut butter brand, announces its launch in the United States.

Pic’s, based in sunny Nelson, New Zealand, imports the finest quality Hi-Oleic peanuts from Kingaroy, Australia, roasts, grinds and seals them within hours, ensuring a  signature fresh roasted taste.   The high quality of the product is due in part to the use of very fresh peanuts.  The healthy, full-flavored peanut butter is all natural, gluten-free and made just how peanut butter should be – with no additives and just a touch of Kiwi salt in the salted varieties. Pic’s award-winning peanut butter is higher in the good monounsaturated oils and high in antioxidants, dietary fiber and good quality protein.  Before using, just give it a quick stir and enjoy Pic’s straight from the jar by the spoonful with your favorite jelly or in your favorite recipe.

“All it takes is one taste to know that you have found the best peanut butter there is,” said Pic Picot, Founder of Pic’s Really Good Peanut Butter.  “I started Pic’s seven years ago at the central Nelson weekend market and demand  took off solely through word of mouth.  Americans love their peanut butter and once they get a taste, they’ll understand why Pic’s is the top choice Down Under.”

A premium staple in Kiwi kitchens, Pic’s has fans all over the globe and is used and recommended by New Zealand’s top chefs.  “Quite Simply the best peanut butter we have ever tasted” said New Zealand’s leading food magazine Cuisine.  Pic’s was also  hailed a winner in a recent taste test by food writers at The New Zealand Herald, Pic’s peanuts are pre-roasted which gave them “the best taste and texture, by far”, according to journalist Catherine Gaffaney. Taster Gabrielle Feather said the roasted buttery flavor had an ‘earthy’ taste, giving the peanut butter a five out of five.  Pic’s even has devotees among the celebrity crowd.  Guitarist Billy Gibbons of the American rock band ZZ Top, tried Pic’s peanut butter during a trip to New Zealand and got hooked.

Pic (AKA “Bruce”) Picot started producing his own peanut butter brand in 2007 by roasting and crushing imported peanuts, and by leaving out the sugar and emulsifiers that are added to some competing peanut butters. Peanut butter has certainly been a passion for Pic since boyhood lunches of peanut butter and lettuce sandwiches in Auckland.  Pic ran a sailing school in Nelson before coming ashore to experiment making his own product in the home kitchen. Pic’s passion includes offering taste tests to passers-by wherever he can.  For this activity he regularly takes to the road in his distinctive Airstream caravan “toaster” for the “Peanut Butter on Toast” tour.

To further their efforts as a responsible manufacturer, Pic’s jar and lid are designed to encourage reuse rather than just recycling.

Pic’s Really Good Peanut Butter is available online at www.reallygood.co.nz (with shipping “cheap as chips” – $10 flat rate shipping for up to 4 jars shipped anywhere in the U.S.) at www.zingermans.com and at Bristol Farms (www.bristolfarms.com) stores in Southern California, Oliver’s Market (www.oliversmarket.com) in Northern California, Chelsea Market Baskets (www.chelseamarketbaskets.com) in New York and Alon’s Bakery and Market (www.alons.com) in Atlanta.

Pic’s offers four varieties of peanut butter available in 380g, 13.4 oz. jars at a recommended retail of $8.00:

  • Original Crunchy
  • Crunch No Salt
  • Original Smooth
  • Smooth No Salt

Burke Williams Introduces the New Radiance Facial

unnamed

Burke Williams Day Spa is pleased to unveil the Radiance Facial, the newest skin care treatment available at all spa locations beginning November 15. The results-driven facial combines concentrated anti-aging ingredients with cutting edge Microcurrent technology to target the signs of aging caused by sun damage. The 80-minute treatment leaves the skin visibly more even, brighter, smoother and firmer.

The Radiance Facial combines the most potent ingredients from both H2V and Eminence skin care lines. The Eminence Arctic Berry Pro Peel infuses the skin with antioxidants that assist with anti-aging and inflammation reduction. Azelaic Acid inhibits pigment production, while Lactic Acid gently smooth and hydrates the skin’s surface by stimulating collagen production.

Following the peel a brightening bicarbonate treatment that visibly illuminates the skin’s appearance is applied. The skin is then treated with a Bright Skin Masque that contains natural ingredients including African potato, Tara tree, licorice root, bearberry extract and stone crop. All of these concentrates combine to create a potent brightening treatment that prevents and lightens pigmentation.

Lastly the skin is revitalized with a face lifting Microcurrent treatment using the award winning NuFACE PRO. The surface of the skin is pre-treated with the highly concentrated H2V illuminating vitamin C treatment and a hydrating gel that help the current penetrate deep into the muscle tissue of the face. Microcurrent increases the delivery of vitamin c deep into the skin while stimulating collagen production and energizing facial muscles. Unlike anywhere else on the body, the facial muscles are directly connected to the skin and the Microcurrent results show a visibly improved and lifted appearance.

The new Radiance Facial is the ideal treatment for those with pigmented, mature, dehydrated, acne prone or lackluster skin that needs reviving. The service incorporates Burke Williams signature head, shoulder and foot massage and paraffin hand treatment. This innovative 80-minute facial will be available at all Burke Williams spa locations beginning November 15 starting at just $189. Experience a Burke Williams near you and indulge, regenerate and revive with the new Radiance Facial.

I had the opportunity to visit Burke Williams Torrance location on a rainy day last week and one of the services I was able to review was the Radiance Facial.  I was quite impressed and I loved it! I think that I was a little anxious about the face lifting Microcurrent  treatment but there was no need to be anxious and it left my skin feeling firmer and my skin really glowed afterwards! I highly recommend this New facial!
