Red Holliday Studios, LLC introduces the 2 Red Hens Studio collection offering a range of vintage chic inspired products for modern mamas from designer Lori Holliday, founder of 2 Red Hens Studio. The 2 Red Hens Collection makes a statement with its distinctive look, innovative and functional items, and select beautifully handcrafted one-of-a-kind pieces using repurposed material.
The new collection features diaper bags, including a limited edition series, the Toy Nanny, an innovative mat that keeps babies and their toys in one place, shopping cart nests, bibs and other accessories. Uniquely designed dolls are also included.
Inspiration for the collection stems from “Mama Hen” Holliday’s love of life and family. As number 13 in a family of 14 children, Holliday grew up on a cotton farm near Phoenix and learned the value of craftsmanship, repurposing and enhancing the beauty of all things old. She went on to become a mechanical engineer only to discover her calling for design in 2003 after buying a sewing machine to make a diaper bag.
Today, the mother of two is enjoying success as the head of a company offering unique and whimsical apparel, accessories and dolls sold in boutiques across the United States and as far away as Japan and the United Kingdom. Holliday also started Make & Mingle, a club she refers to as “Home Ec for Big Girls,” and is founder of Have Pearl Vaccine, or HPV, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting cervical cancer, a disease which Holliday has personally battled multiple times and survived. A portion of proceeds from 2 Red Hens and Make & Mingle go to HVP.
“My friends refer to me as a domestic goddess (maybe), crafter extraordinaire (definitely) and the queen of collecting. All I know is that I’ve been creating for as long as I can remember,” said Holliday. “Every day is a gift to me and I find my inspiration for 2 Red Hens everywhere.”
