The County of Orange and OC Parks are pleased to present a special movie night at Salt Creek Beach Park with a free screening of Bruce Brown’s iconic “The Endless Summer” on Saturday, August 20 at 7 p.m.
“The Endless Summer” surf poster began as a photograph taken at Salt Creek Beach in Dana Point. On August 20, movie buffs have an opportunity to come watch the iconic surf film on a big screen where it all began. Bring a blanket or low-back chair and sit under the night sky while enjoying this iconic and family-friendly film.

Invite your friends and family, pack a picnic and enjoy the views of the sun setting over the Pacific Ocean before the film begins. “The Endless Summer” will start around sunset at 7:30 p.m. As this is an outdoor event, warm clothing is recommended.

The free movie screening is open to the public of all ages. Parking will be free after 5 p.m. for the event. Visit for more details.

This free screening coincides with the exhibit that OC Parks is  hosting on the film at the Old Orange County Courthouse until October 31. The exhibit includes over 100 items from “The Endless Summer” including Bruce Brown’s cameras, tape recorder, projectors, Robert August’s passport, matching trunks and jacket, original photos and sketches, and foreign and domestic movie posters.
