The majority of U.S. public school students come from low-income families, according to an analysis of federal data from 2013. As the nation becomes increasingly aware of the educational disparities between children in affluent areas and those in impoverished ones, many schools are looking to technology to bridge this gap, installing computers and other technologies in classrooms nationwide. Through this donation, Education.com strives to support teachers with free access to its entire platform of educational resources, while extending awareness of the systemic, income-based inequities.
The Education.com Pro donation will provide unlimited access to the Education.com platform, including more than 20,000 worksheets in all subjects, the Brainzy Math and Reading Program for younger students, over 5,000 learning activities and science projects, the ability for teachers create custom worksheets for their classes, plus soon-to-be-released lesson plans.
