The evolution of Del Amo Fashion Center continues this year, as Simon, a global leader in retail real estate, announces plans for new anchor DICK’S Sporting Goods and upgrades to the south portion of the center, all designed to enhance the experience for customers at the South Bay’s premier shopping destination.


The two-level, 83,000-square-foot DICK’S store will be its largest prototype featuring a robust merchandise assortment in a state-of-the-art shopping environment. DICK’S Sporting Goods is the largest authentic full-line sporting goods retailer in the U.S., offering a broad assortment of brand-name sporting goods equipment, apparel and footwear in a specialty store environment.


DICK’S Sporting Goods will be located in the south portion of the center on the second and third levels of the former Macy’s, which was consolidated from three stores to two last summer. They are scheduled to open in spring 2017. JO-ANN Fabric and Craft Stores will continue to occupy the first level of the space.

In addition to the new anchor store, Del Amo Fashion Center is currently underway with a thorough remake of the south portion of the mall, from Carson Street to Sears. New dramatic mall entrances, tile flooring, painting, LED lighting and clear glass handrails as were incorporated in the work recently completed north of Carson Street, as well as more public restrooms and amenities will be unveiled in the southern portion of the center this summer. With the completion, the south portion of the mall will complement the ambience of Del Amo Fashion Center’s new Fashion Wing north of Carson Street. The new two-level wing debuted last October with the addition of Nordstrom, 100 new stores, and more dining options, including the upcoming Popbar this spring, and Lemonade and Luna Grill this summer.


Other recently opened stores include a 140,000 square-foot Nordstrom, Arhaus, Banana Republic, Ben Bridge, Express, Fossil, Godiva, Guess by Marciano, Kate Spade, Kiehl’s Since 1851, Kipling, a 25,000-square-foot H & M, Hugo Boss, LUSH, MAC Cosmetics, Melissa Shoes, Michael Kors, PacSun, Papyrus, Roberto Durville, SUMOSALAD, Tumi, Uniqlo Varga, Vera Bradley, a flagship Victoria’s Secret and a two-level Zara.
