Aquarium of the Pacific 5K Run/Walk
7:30 a.m.-9:00 a.m.
The Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach is hosting its first-ever 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, July 22, 2012 starting at 7:30 a.m. The scenic course will take participants around the Aquarium and surrounding shoreline area. Admission to the Aquarium is included in the registration fee. Registrants will receive bib, timing tag, goody bag, free ticket to Aquarium, and T-shirt (for those that pre-register only). Finishers will receive medal. Top overall male and female finishers receive $500 prizes. For age divisions and additional information, visit their website. Cost: $39 for youths age 17 and under, $44 AFTER June 4; $47 for adults, $52 AFTER June 4. $27 for Aquarium member youths, $32 AFTER June 4; $35 for Aquarium member adults, $40 AFTER June 4. Grab your sleeping bag and prepare for an adventure this summer at the Aquarium with your family! Explore our exhibits with your family as you complete a scavenger hunt. Touch marine animals like sharks, sea stars, and sea jellies. Participate in a fish feeding, and paint your very own souvenir T-shirt in the art of Gyotaku. Included in your sleepover will be a pizza dinner, light snack, and cereal breakfast. Space is limited so sign up today. Check-in is at 5:00 p.m. and the sleepover ends at 7:00 a.m. the next morning.
