“The Feld Entertainment mission of providing quality live entertainment experiences that the entire family enjoys starts with Disney Live! because it is often a young fan’s first theatrical experience,” said producer Alana Feld. “Children everywhere are falling in love with Sofia and Jake, and we are thrilled to bring these popular Disney Junior characters to the stage for the first time ever.”

In this original storyline, Mickey and Minnie lead the audience on an exciting adventure that will have families rooting for their favorite pirate Jake and Disney’s first little girl princess Sofia. Disney Junior Live On Tour! Pirate and Princess Adventure begins with a special interactive pre-show featuring the loveable 6-year-old doctor to toys and stuffed animals, Doc McStuffins.

Children and their parents will sing “The Check-Up Song” along with Doc as she provides tender love
and care.

The beginning of each school year is a reminder of how quickly time flies. It’s an opportunity to make memories that will last far beyond the classroom years.  And, whether it’s kindergarten or senior year, sometimes a simple “You can do it!” helps remind kids that you’re rooting for them, no matter what.

Because the start of a school year can be a whirlwind for everyone, Hallmark wants to help you pause and capture those special moments and celebrate kids as they head back to class with new gift and greetings designed to create lasting memories and share an extra boost of encouragement throughout the school year.

We received the “Making Memories & Encouraging Kids” gift pack to feature this month for Back-to-School and this really is a must-have for the school year!  It includes the following awesome products:

Pics ‘n’ Props School Days Activity Kit: Capture a child’s first day of school in a creative way with the snap of a camera and Hallmark’s Pics ‘N’ Props School Days Activity Kit. The kit includes chalkboards and a frame to document the first day each year — from kindergarten to senior year! Add your photos to the included “My First Day!” photo album to create a lasting memory that can be admired throughout the years. This is so cool! My son and I can’t wait to put this together!

o   SO SO Happy™ Greetings: Hallmark’s new line of SO SO Happy greetings help moms connect with their kids in a way they understand and appreciate. From Taco to Tribe, a variety of adorable characters inspire and celebrate positivity, acceptance and love — attributes especially important during the school year. Cards even include fun surprises for kids like shoelaces, key chains and more. We received one with a really cool happy face pin!

o   Kids Encouragement Greetings: Whether it’s a new social situation, a test, first game of the year or any day of the week, sometimes kids need a confidence boost. These cards feature kid-appropriate topics to help encourage the special kiddos in your life. I just love these! I am all for being positive and encouraging kids especially during the school year and these really are some of the best cards I’ve seen for kids!

o   Back-to-School Greetings: The newest back-to-school greetings feature furry friends to help you say “Go get ‘em!” to the kiddos in your life. These are really cool for kids of all ages!

Author, former teacher and mom Kate Messner has battled the back-to-school blues from all sides – and won!

Her picture books Sea Monster and the Bossy Fish and Sea Monster’s First Day help students, parents and teachers address some of the fears and challenges that come at the end of summer and the beginning of the school year. We received both of these books to review and these really are Must-Haves for younger children starting school! Sea Monster’s First Day is a delightful story about starting school and making new friends. Young children will absolutely love this story! My favorite is Sea Monster and the Bossy Fish and is a fun tale about how to deal with a bully.  Both books can be found at Chronicle Books.

About Kate Messner
