This set of wine glasses is really impressive! They are truly beautiful! I love the hand painting and am impressed with the beautiful design and the quality. I really can’t get over how pretty and unique they are. I am also impressed with the size and they are bigger than I expected them to be. I highly recommend as a gift. They would make an awesome wedding or anniversary gift.

Super fun after school snacks from FamilyFun

Looking for healthier snack options for the Kids?

unnamed    unnamed (1)

FamilyFun magazine has delicious snacks that are perfect for those busy weekdays and will satisfy a hungry kid!

A familiar combo gets a lofty treatment in this filling after-school bite. To prep it, slice a small apple crosswise, core the pieces, and place a few tablespoons of peanut butter in a bowl. Give your child a spreader and let him build and eat his own stack.

We’ve done the math, so we know you can count on this cute calculator to add fun to the first day of school. To make one, use a serrated knife to trim a graham cracker sheet into a shorter rectangle (ours are about 3½ inches long). Cut a rectangle from a plain chocolate barand attach it with chocolate frosting. Trim away the tips from three butterscotch, chocolate, or white chocolate chips. Use more frosting to attach them, along with nine M&M’s Minis candies, as shown.

I received a free copy of the newest FamilyFun and love it! You must check it out! It has some really great ideas for Halloween!

You may remember that SoCal City Kids reviewed Monkeys Up™ this past Summer and it was a hit! So, we were quite excited to received Lumpy Cubes to review!

The game of quick, quirky, cube stacks! Lumpy Cubes™ is a quick-play stacking game designed to improve your memory, reaction time, and motor skills. This game is fun for all ages, especially when looking for friendly competition! The unique feature of this game is that each patterned challenge card has only one way to be correctly stacked. If you find it and stack it first you win!

Players: 1-4

Ages: 6 to adult

Skills: memory, reaction time, motor skills.

I really enjoy this one! I like that it is a quick game and anything to improve my memory is a great thing! But, I really like that this one is a great one for both kids and adults. It really is a lot of fun and easy to play but not so simple that older kids will refuse to play it. I now have a ‘Tween and finding games that he will play isn’t quite as easy as it used to be!

Celebrate the 2015 Halloween Candy Buy Back!

unnamed (2)

Halloween is a fun and exciting time for kids, but a destructible and toxic time for their teeth.  As a parent, how do you stop your child from partaking in the joy that is trick-or-treating? With the help of the 11th annual Halloween Candy Buy Back program, in which local dentists “buy” back kids’ Halloween candy in exchange for product packages, cash, or other incentives, Halloween can be enjoyable for kids, parents, and even US troops overseas!  This year, we want to promote a positive dental health message and hope to introduce kids to the great tasting, natural sweetener, xylitol.  While most children enjoy the taste of regular sugar candy, it is neither good for the child’s oral health or body.  Our product packages will be full of goodies including xylitol candy provided by Xlear Inc. which tastes great and is actually beneficial to your child’s health!

Founded in 2005 by Dr. Chris Kammer, the Halloween Candy Buy Back Program began as a way to keep excess Halloween candy “off the streets” and help keep kids’ mouths healthier. This year, the program is moving to be a force for good by teaming up with Xlear Inc., the leading manufacturers of xylitol products, and Tess Oral Health, makers of dental, professional, and oral hygiene products. Together they will partner with dental offices nationwide to reach the goal of sending 100,000 toothbrushes overseas as well collect children’s Halloween candy to give the soldiers a holiday away from home.  This simple act of kindness enables children to exchange their Halloween candy and receive a token in return while showing love and support to our men and women fighting for our country every day.

I received samples of SparX Halloween Candy from  Xlear, Inc. that includes 30 trick-or-treat sized bags of xylitol candy in three great flavors: Natural Fruit, Natural Berry, and Natural Citrus. These naturally-flavored candy “dots” are loved by kids and parents alike, and are available for a limited time at xlear.com.  I like that they are naturally-flavored and are available in the different flavors.
