Wanda, just a year old, is a lovely, little brown tabby who loves to cuddle on your lap. She’s supremely confident and super-friendly. She enjoys her food and water, and she uses her litter box perfectly. We tell you this because she’s blind, but the volunteers swear that she doesn’t know it! Wanda was found as a stray, and it’s heartbreaking to imagine her wandering the streets, sightless, for the first year of her life. She deserves to spend the rest of her years in a loving home. Shelter hours are Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at 7700 E. Spring St. at the entrance to El Dorado Park (no parking fee for shelter visitors). You can email PetAdopt@longbeach.gov to speed the process for adopting Wanda. Ask for ID#A678717.
