Can you really resist this big, silly grin? Want to make it stay on her face forever? Then think about adopting or fostering this sweet senior girl! Tippy is considered a senior at 8 years old, and she’s indeed an easygoing girl, long retired from puppyhood and looking for a place to enjoy her years in the sun. She’s easy to walk and not reactive to other dogs. She likes humans, too, and takes treats gently. Tippy has hind-end issues that prevent her from running in a normal way, but she has her own special gait, which she trots out to engage play in the play yard. Take a tip from our shelter volunteers and take Tippy home! Long Beach Animal Care Services is over capacity with dogs, so speed the process to adopt or foster Tippy or any of our other pets by emailing PetAdopt@longbeach.gov or petfoster@longbeach.gov. You can also call (562) 570-4925. Our shelter hours are Wednesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 7700 E. Spring St. at the entrance to El Dorado Park (no parking fee for shelter visitors). Ask for ID#A760125.
