If Steadman looks familiar, it’s because he was previously featured as Pet of the Week. He’s been in our shelter since last May, and this is no way to celebrate an anniversary. Or put better, having a year’s anniversary in an animal shelter, even one as good as Long Beach Animal Care Services, is no cause for celebration. Steadman’s held it together mentally and physically, but he hasn’t gone home yet and no one can figure out why. He’s gorgeous, active, fun-loving and friendly—he’d be a great companion for any human who’s familiar with this adventurous breed. Please—our shelter is out of room, and Steadman has to make it out in the only good way possible. If you know a husky rescue or would love to take him home yourself, you can speed the process to adopt or foster Steadman and any of our other pets by emailing PetAdopt@longbeach.gov or petfoster@longbeach.gov. You can also call (562) 570-4925. Even better, stop by during our walk-in hours every Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. Our shelter is located at 7700 E. Spring St. Ask for ID#A674834 to meet Steadman. We’re over capacity, and everyone needs homes!
