Shade, April 5 Pet of the Week

soooooooo cute!

Sure, Easter was last Sunday, but we thought you’d like to see how tolerant a cat, of all people, can be of being dressed up. Shade, a handsome 10-year-old boy, came in as a stray in July and immediately captured the hearts of the staff and volunteers with his friendly demeanor and laid-back “cat-itude.” He scored a foster home for a few weeks and made himself comfortable in a home with young children! He wasn’t much into toys—he preferred lounging on the couch and supervising his foster mom’s work by lying on it. He also had perfect litterbox manners. You know, you never appreciate the sunshine as much as when you have a little Shade for contrast. Bring some warmth into both your lives by meeting Shade and taking him home. To adopt or foster Shade, email PetAdopt@longbeach.gov to speed the process, or call (562) 570-7387. Ask for ID#A702540. Better yet, come meet her and all the other cats in person at Long Beach Animal Care Services, 7700 E. Spring St., Long Beach. Visitors are welcome Wednesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

(This rescue encouraged by the usual suspects.)
