Rubio’s® Restaurants, the brand known for its delicious coastal cuisine and popularizing the fish taco, is adding Wild Argentinian Red Shrimp to its award-winning seafood menu. The grilled shrimp is available in a new Two Taco Plate and Bowl.
Sourced in South America off the coast of Argentina, the Wild Argentinian Red Shrimp was selected by the Rubio’s culinary team for its large size and sweet flavor. Rubio’s Wild-Caught Argentinian Red Shrimp is grilled to perfection and drizzled with a warm butter made from a blend of smoked paprika, sundried tomatoes, sea salt, garlic and oregano.
The new Wild Argentinian Red Shrimp Bowl features the mouth-watering shrimp with smoked paprika and tomato butter on a bed of crisp cabbage, citrus rice and black beans, and topped with Hass avocado slices, chipotle white sauce, salsa fresca and crispy tortilla strips. In the Two Taco Plate, this warm, buttery shrimp is topped with creamy Haas avocado slices, salsa fresca, crisp cabbage, chipotle white sauce, and is served on warm stone-ground tortillas with a side of “no-fried” pinto beans and chips.
I had the opportunity to try the new Wild Argentinian Red Shrimp Two Taco Plate and I love it! The seasoning on the shrimp tastes delicious and I will be trying the bowl on my next trip to Rubio’s. I would say the new tacos may be one of my favorite items at Rubio’s!
