WHAT: Richstone Family Center is hosting a community discussion on cyber bullying. No longer limited to schoolyards, modern-day bullying can happen 24/7. As long as kids have access to a phone, computer, or other electronic device, they are at risk. Recent studies have found that about 1 in 4 teens have been the victim of cyberbullying, and about 1 in 6 admit to having cyberbullied someone. The center invites the community to come and learn more about the reality and consequences of cyber bullying and discuss ways you can help.
WHO: The center has invited guests panelists to educate the community and facilitate a discussion. Detectice Gilber Escontrias from the LAPD Internet Crimes Against Children’s Task Force, Chris Frydrych who is the CEO of Geo Listening, and Marie Freschl and Richard Vishnevsky from the Richstone Family Center will be leading the discussion.
WHEN and WHERE: Tuesday October 7, 2014 from 8:30AM-10AM
