One day, as Pierre tosses some old stuff into the trash can, he forgets to recycle. Now, instead of being transformed into shiny new things, the plastic bottle and newspaper will sit in a landfill forever. Well, not if Pierre has anything to do with it! Determined to get the items back, he chases the garbage truck through town. Kate Louise’s story is an enjoyable and engaging lesson about the importance of recycling, and Bethany Straker’s expressive and quirky illustrations make this adorable pup come to life on every page. This book is sure to make kids think about the importance of saving the environment one small piece of trash at a time.
Kate Louise is a YA and children’s book author who recently graduated from university with a first-class BA (honors) degree in fine art painting. Bethany Straker is a picture book and magazine illustrator. She has illustrated numerous children’s books.
I received a copy of this book and absolutely love it! First, I have to admit that I am a fan of French Bulldogs. But, I love the message of this delightful story and love Pierre. I highly recommend for younger children ages 3+. The story is delightful and meaningful and the illustrations bring the story to life! Children will adore Pierre! A Must-Read!
