Local 14 year old rides 150 miles to help those in need

Casey MacLean, an ambitious, altruistic 14-year-old aspiring firefighter from Marina Del Rey, CA will ride his bike from Fire Station #62 in Venice to San Diego in efforts to raise funds for those in need.  In his third annual ride for charity, he will bike 150 miles with the goal to raise $6,500 for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and his education fund.

Whole Foods Market got involved two years ago when Casey visited his local store and shared his story. This year, Patrick Bradley, regional president, will join him for the second half of the ride from his hometown in Laguna Niguel to the Whole Foods Market store in Del Mar.  Casey has gained support organizations such as: GoPro, Wheel World Cycles, Santini SMS, Outlaw Graphix, Invo Coconut Water, Beyond Meat, Hornblower Cruises, Stromer, Bike Attack Electrc+, and Thule.
