Join us for Corita Day, a celebration of the life and legacy of Corita Kent, featuring a full day of family-friendly arts activities, historic film screenings, live performances, and conversations inspired by her visionary work. This year’s Corita Day also honors the recent news of the Corita Art Center’s (CAC) historic move to the Los Angeles Arts District as a newly established 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, marking an exciting new chapter in CAC’s mission to carry Corita’s message of love, justice, and community into the future.

- Holiday Pop-Up Shop: Browse unique Corita-inspired holiday gifts, including rare items not available online. Each piece reflects Corita’s message of love, hope, and creativity.
- Creative Celebration of Corita’s Legacy: Explore the PRS campus for a special one-day-only exhibition of original Corita-inspired artworks by Los Angeles-based artists, designers, and makers, curated by poet and PRS contributing artist Mandy Kahn.
- Book Launch & Reading: At 5:00 PM, author Dan Paley will read from his new children’s book, Love Is Hard Work: The Art and Heart of Corita Kent.

- Performance by Mandy Kahn and Friends: Poet Mandy Kahn presents a Corita-themed poetry performance inspired by Corita’s teachings.

- Historic Film Screenings: Experience rarely-seen vintage films of Corita at work, directed by Thomas Conrad and Baylis Glascock, capturing her inspiring and electrifying creative process.
