Enzo, June 21 Pet of the Week

Awwwwwww! Soooo cute!

On Sunday, June 23, Long Beach Animal Care Services begins its yearly project of emptying the dog kennels for its Foster the Fourth project. Fireworks are illegal for private use in Long Beach, but nonetheless, people set them off and dogs can get frightened and run in terror. Our shelter takes in a goodly number every July 4 season, and they need to make room for them. Enzo would be a great foster for an energetic human! He’s smart, is treat motivated, loves our play yard, and even tries to hug volunteers! He’s a Siberian husky/German shepherd mix who was brought in last December. He’s almost 3 years old and would love to spend the holiday in a home instead of a kennel. Speed the process to adopt or foster Enzo or any of our other pets by emailing PetAdopt@longbeach.gov or petfoster@longbeach.gov. You can also call (562) 570-4925. Our shelter hours are Wednesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 7700 E. Spring St. at the entrance to El Dorado Park (no parking fee for shelter visitors. Ask for ID#A712421.
