Charger, a beautiful 5-year-old glossy, black fellow is a good way to start the scary season off with. His human passed away and left him to haunt the shelter. He’d be a great cat for Halloween—he doesn’t even need a costume, and he can help you pass out candy mainly by knocking it on the floor. Charger does want to remind you, though, that he’s a flesh-and-blood cat and not just a symbol—he needs security, love and a forever home, haunted or not. You can meet him on the shelter side of the Companion Animal Village at 7700 East Spring St., (562) 570-PETS. Ask for ID#A629137.
