The Los Angeles Zoo welcomes all ghosts, goblins, and ghouls the last two weekends of October for Boo at the L.A. Zoo, proudly sponsored by First 5 California, GoGo squeeZ, L.A. Care, and Skechers. Fang-tastic fun includes trick-or-treating throughout the Zoo featuring premium candies courtesy of event partner Mars; Halloween-themed feedings for select animals; and spooky story time with celebrated author Suzanne Lang and illustrator Max Lang reading Grumpy Monkey Don’t Be Scared, from Random House Studio, featuring New York Times #1 bestselling character Grumpy Monkey and his jungle friends, on Saturdays, Oct. 21/28 and the L.A. Public Library Children’s Librarians reading spooky stories along with library card sign-ups on Sundays, Oct. 22/29. Sights include the Extinct Animal Graveyard honoring dearly departed species along with ways to protect the vulnerable; a self-guided tour, where guests can discover wacky, creepy, and funny animal facts; and the LAIR (Living Amphibians, Invertebrates, and Reptiles) where the slithering and spine-tingling await.

The L.A. Zoo and its nonprofit partner the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association (GLAZA) ask trick-or-treaters to bring a bag for candy to promote sustainability and reduce waste. Costumes are encouraged!
