Del Amo Fashion Center Celebrates Style Evolution And Announces Nearly 100 New Brands Center also adds 2,000-car parking structure along Fashion Way

Starting today, South Bay shoppers will be able to enjoy new brand name stores and restaurants like Kate Spade, Hugo Boss and Pink’s Hot Dogs as part of the ongoing style evolution of Del Amo Fashion Center. Simon officials and Torrance Mayor Patrick Furey shared the exciting announcements this morning at a Grand Opening ribbon-cutting event.

As a result of the ongoing transformation of South Bay’s premier retail destination, Del Amo Fashion Center is expected to add about 100 brands, beginning with the opening today of a 140,000-square-foot Nordstrom.

“The lineup at Del Amo Fashion Center continues to expand, with more selection and retail, dining and lifestyle experiences than ever in store for South Bay shoppers,” said Lindsay Hermance, director of marketing and business development at Del Amo Fashion Center. “We’re excited for what this means for our shoppers and their experience and choices, and also for the momentum this brings to our existing tenants.”

Designers like Kate Spade, Hugo Boss, Brooks Brothers, Vince Camuto and a re-located Z Gallerie are set to open South Bay-exclusive stores in Del Amo Fashion Center’s new, state-of-the-art two-level fashion wing, which will open its doors alongside Nordstrom.

In addition, the iconic Hollywood mom-and-pop hot dog stand Pink’s Hot Dogs will join Del Amo Fashion Center’s beautiful new Patio Cafes dining experience, which touts greenery walls, lounge and communal seating for more than 700 people and other exciting dining options like Australian-based Sumo Salad’s first-ever U.S. location and Open Sesame Grill, slated for a 2016 opening. Michelin star-rated Din Tai Fung, a global chain that’s particularly known for its “xiao long bao” soup dumplings, will join Great Maple, FRIDA, and a relocated Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que in a restaurant row along Hawthorne Boulevard. Next year will also bring Lemonade and Luna Grill to phase two of the center.

Del Amo Fashion Center’s evolving style also includes the construction of a nearly 2,000-car parking structure along Fashion Way, between the Marriott Hotel and Del Amo’s newer Outdoor Village.

In addition to boasting electric vehicle charging stations, the structure gives shoppers direct access to Nordstrom and the new Grand Court, which will connect the Outdoor Village to the grand entrance of the center. The Grand Court, which showcases natural light and an open-air feel, will also be home to the Guest Services center.

The third phase of the project, to be completed in 2016, will include the cosmetic renovation of common areas between Macy’s Men, Home & Furnishings and Sears, and will feature new tile floors, new glass handrails, LED lighting, paint and entrance doors. The relocation of escalators and an elevator in the two-level mall will be complete at that time as well.

Fun gift ideas for Dogs from Outward Hound Guaranteed fun for your furry friend!

Our furry dog reviewer, Bink received a few goodies from our friends at Outward Bound to try out and I have to say, he was quite thrilled! He received a Fire Biterz Lizard that squeaks, a Treat Chaser that can be filled with treats and a couple of SplashBombz Balls.

Bink was up for the challenge!

First up was the Fire Biterz Lizard! Bink loved this one because it squeaks. He had a lot of fun with it until he chewed through it. Bink can chew almost through anything so I didn’t expect it to last forever. But, it did last longer than most toys do with him because it is made from durable fire hose material. I also know many other dogs that wouldn’t chew it up. This one is highly recommended for hours of fun! Retails for $12.99. It is available in Red or Green.

The SplashBombz Balls were a big hit! These are a must-have for this heat wave we are having in Southern California! These are easy to use and fun for your pup! You simply get them wet by putting them under water and then your dog will have a fun toy that will keep him cooler in the summer heat! Bink really liked these and I like how unique and creative they are! Available in a variety of different characters. We received the Balls and Bink loves them! Retails for $9.99. I think we may be getting a few of these for his dog friends!

But, my favorite is the Treat Chaser! This one is really cool because the treats don’t simply just fall out like many others we have tried. Bink actually was able to roll this one around, chase after it and it took a little while for the treats to all come out. That is a must-have for dogs! I mean..what good is it if they fall out right after you put them in? It is also durable and I can’t imagine my dog chewing through this one.  Bink and I both highly recommend this one for all dogs! Retails for $14.99.
