“The Hunters” Puts An Exciting Spin On The Classic “Snow White” Story

The Hunters is a modern day fairy tale adventure, based on the magical mirror from “Snow White,” and follows the brothers Flynn as they embark on an international quest to find their parents and save the world from the clutches of evil.  KIDS FIRST! Film Critic Gerry O says, “The Hunters” is a great and thrilling movie for everyone! There is comedy, romance, action, adventure, thrilling scenes, a great and engaging story line and, of course, a puzzle to solve!” The Hunters is the fifth world premier film in Hallmark Channel’s new Friday night movie series, “Walden Family Theatre,” airing this Friday, October 25th at 8/7c on Hallmark Channel. From the title, it’s really hard to predict what the movie will be about. Based on the title, I had an open mind. I only have one thing to say, I was pleasantly surprised! “The Hunters” is a great and thrilling movie for everyone!

I absolutely love how many things there is in this film! There is comedy, romance, action, adventure, thrilling scenes, a great and engaging story line and, of course, a puzzle to solve!

The adventure begins when three people are looking for some artifacts to build together a legendary item. When one turns on the others, everything goes wrong. The two kids of the couple who are searching for this item and their friend, go on a epic adventure to save the world and their parents!  If you want to find out if their parents are ok and if they were successful in this quest, you have to watch the film!

This film brings so many perks! It has especially great actors and the directing is also very good. The camerawork will impress you for sure – there are so many actions –  climbing and jumping and even some scary stuff. But, the picture if very clear and the storyline easy to follow!

I have to say that my favorite scene is when the older brother discovers his little brother has skipped school and he is very mad at him. I can greatly appreciate this scene. It has brotherly “love” or as I call it “bromance.” It’s extremely funny and will hit home with many viewers.

I recommend this movie to ages 8-18, because it is a very intense film. I also give it 5 out of 5 stars and wouldn’t be surprised if they eventually turn this movie into series. I know I will be watching out for that.

Jenny Packham: Fall 2014 Bridal Collection

photo 29  photo 30

Talia Shobrook, lead makeup artist for this season’s Jenny Packham show, created a “romantic and dreamy” makeup look to complement Packham’s 2014 Bridal Collection. This season’s gown designs were inspired by the “Belle Époque” or “beautiful era” of the early 20th century, when women abandoned traditional restrictive corsetry for romantic, flowing silhouettes.

Flawless Face: Flawless skin with a natural flush of colour

·         Shobrook first prepped skin with Laura Mercier Foundation Primer – Hydrating ($32).

·         Next, she applied Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer – Oil Free Broad Spectrum SPF 20 Sunscreen ($43) to create a healthy, even tone.  She then covered any imperfections with Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage ($32).

·         To give the skin a romantic, dreamy look, Shobrook flushed the cheeks with Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colour in Barely Pink ($24) and Rose Petal ($24).

·         Then, she dusted Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colour in Peach Whisper ($24) onto the apples of the cheeks. She dabbed Laura Mercier Secret Finish ($27) onto the cheekbones, adding freshness to the skin.

·         To add the final touch, Shobrook applied Laura Mercier Invisible Loose Setting Powder ($35) to the nose and forehead. I received this product to try out for myself and love it! Left my face looking so natural!

Simple Eyes: Soft washes of colour

·         Shobrook applied a wash of colour to the eyelids using Laura Mercier Matte Eye Colour in Ginger ($23) and Laura Mercier Sateen Eye Colour inGuava ($23). Next, she applied a layer of Laura Mercier Sateen Eye Colour ($23) in Primrose.

·         She then highlighted the brow bones with Laura Mercier Matte Eye Colourin Morning Dew ($23).

·         She used Laura Mercier Sateen Eye Colour  in Baroque and Cognac ($23 each) on the inner creases of the eyes to give a rounded look.

·         To finish the lids, Shobrook applied  Laura Mercier Sateen Eye Colour  inBaroque and Burnished ($23 each) to the lower lash lines. She then addedLaura Mercier Sateen Eye Colour in Cognac to the middle of the lower lash lines.

·         She applied Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Seashell ($26) to the inner corners of the eyes and added a coat of Laura Mercier Full Blown Volume Lash Building Mascara ($24to the top and bottom lashes.

·         To pull the look together and frame the face, she lightly defined the eyebrows using Laura Mercier Eye Brow Pencil ($22).

Soft Lips:  Mauve and beige lip

·         To create a subtle, elegant look, Shobrook applied Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Lip Colour in Pink Blush and Peche (each $26) to the lips.

Body: Illuminated skin

·         To complete the look, Talia dusted Laura Mercier Mineral Illuminating Power in Candelight ($34) to the neck and décolletage.

*Self Disclosure: I received the Invisible Loose Setting Powder to facilitate this feature.
