We featured Sweet Dani B for Valentine’s Day, and I just couldn’t resist featuring her amazing products again for Springtime and Easter! This time, I made Easter Egg and Mini Bunny Cookies with help from my son. I received the cutest Mini Bunny cookie cutter and large size Egg Cookie Cutter. My son and I just had so much fun baking and decorating. The Icing Expert Bottle Kit by Sweet Dani B is so easy to use that kids can become Cookie decorators!  Now, how fun is that?!

Rancho Los Cerritos Historic Site announces an afternoon of free and good old-fashioned fun in a workshop for children held on Saturday, April 6, 2013 called Creation Station: “Cool Blues.” The workshop is perfect for children ages 6-10 years old. It is also a great opportunity for children to create unique crafts and participate in a historically themed program. Families can choose to drop in and participate anytime between 1-4 p.m. No reservations required. Creation station workshops are held rain or shine.

“Cool Blues,” welcomes and celebrates the cool blue skies, right after fresh spring rain. Children can choose from a selection of art supplies to make photo prints, keepsake boxes, bird mobiles and more. In addition to participating in the “Cool Blues” hands-on activities, visitors can choose to take a free house tour or garden tour. Upcoming creation station workshops include “Sunny Yellow” on May 4, and “Rainbow Surprise” on June 1. 

The Rancho is located at 4600 Virginia Road in Long Beach, northwest of the intersection of Long Beach Boulevard and San Antonio Drive. Free public tours are offered Wednesday-Sunday from 1-5 p.m. Built in 1844, the adobe home and grounds of Rancho Los Cerritos echo with the rich history of Spanish, Mexican, and American California and with the families who helped transform Southern California from its ranching beginnings to the modern and urban society it is today. The two-story Monterey-style adobe is primarily furnished to reflect occupants and lifestyles from the 1860s-1880s. The site, a National, State and Long Beach Historic Landmark, also includes historic gardens and a research library and archives. Rancho Los Cerritos Historic Site is a public museum open for tours, programs, and events. It is owned by the City of Long Beach and operated through the Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine.
