The County of Orange and OC Parks invite you to experience the traditions of the holidays at Heritage Hill Historical Park this winter season. December 3 will celebrate the 35th and final Victorian Christmas and December 10 – 11 will welcome the park’s 31st Annual Candlelight Walk.
Relive the holiday customs of yesteryear for the last time as Heritage Hill bids farewell to Victorian Christmas on December 3 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The park’s four historic buildings will be festively decorated for the season with live music, dance performances, local craft vendors, and food for purchase. Bring your Christmas list and visit with Santa. Enjoy hands-on activities including Christmas ornament and card making, candle dipping, butter churning, Victorian-inspired crafts and games, and cookie decorating with Mrs. Claus.
Then experience the historic park in a unique way that only happens once a year during Heritage Hill Historical Park’s 31st Annual Candlelight Walk. On December 10 – 11 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., hundreds of luminarias will light the park’s pathways as strolling carolers and musicians fill the air with music. Children can visit with Santa in the Arbor and sit at a school desk while storytellers spin holiday tales in the one-room El Toro Grammar School. Visitors will enjoy historic holiday radio shows as they tour the 1930s Bennett Ranch house and can watch a Spanish guitarist and Flamenco dancer in the 1863 Serrano Adobe. There will also be ongoing entertainment in the 1891 St. George’s Episcopal Mission. Hot chocolate, apple cider, and homemade cookies will be available for purchase.
Admission for each event is $5.00 for ages 3 and over (children under 3 are free). Tickets are sold at the park gate on the day of the event. Celebrate the magic of the holiday season with OC Parks at Heritage Hill Historical Park.
