General Mills and Star Wars are teaming up to offer exclusive vintage movie posters in every specially marked box of General Mills cereals!

General Mills is once again connecting fans with what they love. Hidden inside each box, you will find one of six timeless movie posters featuring your favorite Star Wars films.

Star Wars and cereal fans alike can collect all six classic posters in each participating brand of General Mills cereals, including Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Honey Nut Cheerios, Trix, Cookie Crisp and Reese’s Puffs. The specially marked boxes of Big G cereals hit store shelves but are only available for a limited time only.

We received a couple of boxes and my son was delighted with the Trix and Cookie Crisp. He was already  big fan of both and we both think the Star Wars posters are really cool! So, if you have a Star Wars fan at home, don’t miss out! Look for them at your local stores.

I’m almost 50 so yes, I am starting to worry about wrinkles! Actually, I have had a few wrinkles before now. You simply apply all-over cleansed face,avoiding the eye area, in the AM and PM, gently massaging into wrinkle-prone areas. It can also be used on stretch marks.  I have been using for a couple of weeks now and I have to say that even though my wrinkles are still there, they do seem less noticeable. In my book, that is quite impressive! I like how this product hydrates my skin and how it feels. I also think it has improved my skin texture. It is a beauty Must-Have!

Surf Rodeo Gears Up For Its 8th Festival On July 11-12

Though the California coast is regularly covered with surfers all year-round, Surf Rodeo is the only event to bring together thousands of quirky and fun-loving surf cowboys, 25 world class bands, an outdoor street fair, beers gardens and more to the beach. Surf Rodeo, both a surfing contest and music festival, will take place on July 11 and 12 in Ventura.

The festival will feature surf competitions, a bikini cowgirl contest and the infamous Cornhole competition, as well as dozens of musical performances, a food court, a street fair with vendors offering craft goods, two beer gardens, a mechanical bull and many more surprises.

Pato Baton and The Aggrolites are confirmed to headline the Surf Rodeo Festival. Other performers include Bob Log III, Wheeland Bros., Rainbow Girls, Groove Session, Brothers Fortune, Jukebox 101, Kane Gang, Dankrupt, The Iron Outlaws, Bird Brain, Jan Michael and the Vincents, Pleasure, Skatanic Rednecks, Inhale, Clean Spill, NaVaNax, Ska Daddyz, Stoneflys, Jackass, Vokab Kompany, Rubberneck Lions, Honey Owl, and of course the local favorites Raging Arb and the Redheads.

“I never thought about Surf Rodeo as being a business,” said John Drury, founder ofSurf Rodeo. “It’s more of a way to keep the waters communal, taking the edge off the territorial surfer thing. By creating a bunch of surf contests, and adding fun contests like the Greased Pig and the Obstacle Race, we lightened the feeling of competition. We try and remind ourselves we are all out for the same thing, to just have fun! Let’s laugh at ourselves a little and bring us together through music and surfing.”

Over the past three years, Surf Rodeo has been raising funds for the Boys and Girls Club by holding a benefit drawing. The prize this year is a fully restored 1965 Volkswagen Bug. Tickets to win the car are $20 and can be purchased at Avenue Thrift Store, located at 222 N. Ventura Ave, Ventura, CA 93001 and at the Surf Rodeoevent on July 11 and 12. Winners must be present to win.

Each year, Surf Rodeo partners with local businesses to rebuild cars that are in need of TLC. The community pitches in and 100% of the proceeds benefit The Boys and Girls Club of greater Ventura. “The community wins,” said Drury. Panera Bread Joins Beverly Hills Zip Code, Debuts Unique Design

Panera Bread® debut its first location in Beverly Hills today, Thursday, June 25 at 239 South Beverly Drive, formerly the historic Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce building.

 

Early bird guests may be awarded bread for a year or coffee tumblers. The first 100 customers to visit the new location on opening day will be treated to a monthly free loaf of bread for a year. On Friday, June 26, the first 100 customers to sign up for a MyPanera® account at a designated registration table will receive a free Panera Bread coffee tumbler.

Distinctive Design

The new Beverly Hills Panera Bread will feature distinctive design elements unique to the company in this region. These include several of the building’s original features, a rustic urban vibe with a variety of woods like hickory, walnut and western hemlock and black steel accents throughout.

 

The building was constructed in 1948 and preservation of several of its original elements in the new bakery-cafe include: the exposed brick walls, wood trusses and copper lettering from the original Chamber of Commerce sign.

Co-owned by USC All American and NFL football legend Keyshawn Johnson and First Picks Bread Company, LLC, the new location will feature select Panera 2.0 enhancements – a series of integrated technologies to enhance the guest experience for all consumers no matter how they choose to use Panera.

 

Panera 2.0 elements include Rapid Pick-Up. For customers who have ordered their food “to go” (from the web, mobile app, kiosk or cashier), this bakery-cafe will be equipped with a special “to go” pick-up area, featuring dedicated seating, an order-status monitor providing real-time information as orders are prepared and completed, and shelf space, all to facilitate easy pick up. “To go” guests can claim their food without waiting in line using a travel path through the cafe that is unique and different from that of “eat in” customers. In the coming months, the Beverly Hills location will roll out meal delivery to tables and fast lane kiosks where guests can save customizations, past orders, and “favorites” for easy ordering on their next visit.

We expect a great response to our high quality menu offerings, unique design and Rapid Pick-Up feature from those working in the Wilshire Corridor and people visiting the area,” said Johnson.

LA Food Bank Partnership

Also as part of its ongoing fundraising efforts, all donations from the Beverly Hills bakery-cafe’s Day-End Dough-Nation™ program will go to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank to help support local families in need. The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank works to end hunger in the Los Angeles County and has helped distribute more than one billion pounds of food to food insecure individuals since its founding 42 years ago.

 

“We’re grateful to Panera Bread for their commitment to helping us ensure that food insecure individuals in Los Angeles have access to regular meals,” said Liz Cervantes, Agency Relations Director at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. “One in six people in Los Angeles County are at risk for hunger, so these donations will help us meet this tremendous need and make a significant impact.”

 

Ribbon-Cutting Event

The new bakery-cafe held with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and VIP party on June 19, with celebrities, city officials and community members in attendance. The event featured sample menu offerings, a silent auction and select wines from Gypsy Canyon Winery—hand-tended wine made in small batches crafted by winemaker Deborah Hall from her vineyard in Santa Barbara County, with only 500 cases made per year. Donations raised from the silent auction went to the Ingrid Roberts Charitable Fund to help improve the quality of life for children with rare cancers.

The Lost Generation Movie is the first comprehensive film that paints a portrait of the ADHD epidemic in the US.

The Lost Generation tells a story that has yet to be told and answers questions that haven’t dared to be asked.

Did you know that 11% of children ages 4 – 17 are diagnosed with ADHD and 8 million adults are living with ADHD. This is great for using as a drying shelf for cups, bowls or plates. It is not very big but is quite durable and takes up very little space. It is very easy to use and perfect for small spaces in a kitchen. it is extremely lightweight so would also be perfect for travel. So, if you are looking for a multi-functional dish storage holder, sink rack, drying rack..this one is for you. It is not good for large pots and pans but is great for dishes, cups, and bowls.  I like using it in our kitchen since we do not have a lot of space.

I am very happy with this flatware set. It is a simple, yet elegant design and I like how modern they look. They are lightweight, yet seem very sturdy.
