Local Southern California Pop/Rock Band, Adam’s Attic Shoot Their Music Video

unnamed

Adam’s Attic, the Southern California based pop/rock band, continues to enjoy a busy summer attending film premieres and performing for live audiences while expanding their national and international presence. On September 13, members of Adam’s Attic, Thomas Barsoe, Michel Copeland Toft, and Mehdi Avaz spent the day shooting the music video of “Silver Moon,” a pop, Electronic Dance Music (EDM) single from the band’s summer album, “Can Anybody Hear Me.” The video was primarily shot in Newport Beach and Laguna Beach, CA.

The group of talented musicians is on a course that will only take them into loftier heights. Last month, Mehdi Avaz of Balloon Film was enlisted for the project by Adam’s Attic’s producer, Thomas Barsoe of OC Hit Factory in Orange County, CA. The Danish music video producer, Avaz, and cinematographer, Michel Copeland Toft, flew into Southern California from Copenhagen for the shoot. Watch the “Silver Moon” music video teaser on YouTube. Check it out below! My son and I just love it! We give it a thumbs up! We can’t wait to see the entire video! This is the band to keep an eye on!

Avaz’s creativity is seen in the “Fast & Furious” inspired music video. Newport Beach and Laguna Beach provide the perfect Orange County beach setting for the “Silver Moon” lyrics, “You’re Bonnie. I’ll be Clyde. We’ll steal each other’s lives. We’ll be notorious, glamorous, always ready, armed, and dangerous. Victorious, glorious by the time the cops catch us, we’ll be famous.”

In two years, Balloon Film has become the fastest growing film and production house in Denmark producing commercials, music videos, documentaries, short films, and live performances within the Scandinavian kingdom. At the time of the “Silver Moon” music video shooting, Balloon Film was on its sixth U.S. production in nine days. Balloon Film is making the most of its time stateside to duplicate its business model in North America.

The band’s release of “Can Anybody Hear Me” received features in local and national publications, invitations for performances on TV shows, and album reviews from bloggers. After appearing and performing on KSCI-TV, LA-18, the “Halo Halo with Kat Iniba” Host, Katherine Iniba, remarked, “Adam’s Attic’s debut album, ‘Can Anybody Hear Me,’ hooks you from the very first track with their beautiful, captivating music and sincere, emotional lyrics to the very end.  I caught myself listening to their album on repeat.  The fact that they’re genuinely nice, down to earth guys was an added plus.”  The album is available at all major digital retailers including iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/can-anybody-hear-me/id885639896

Earlier this year, screenplay writer, Chaun Domingue, approached the band about music for his original screenplay, “The Conversation.”  After listening to the “Can Anybody Hear Me” album, Domingue decided to place eleven songs from the group’s catalogue in his upcoming project and retitle the feature film to “A Night without Armor,” which was the sixth track on the band’s EP “Skylines and City Lights” (2008). Filming is scheduled to begin on November 7. The single, “A Night without Armor,” is also highlighted at the opening and end credits in the documentary film, “The Price of Honor.” The documentary’s Northern California premiere is scheduled for Saturday, October 25.

With no plans of slowing down, the band has a full calendar for the remainder of the year. On Sunday, October 26, Adam’s Attic will be performing for runners and walkers at the Rock ‘n’ Roll Los Angeles Halloween Half Marathon & 5K.  The group is also a nominee at the 5th Annual Hollywood Music in Media Awards under the Pop genre for their single track “Silver Moon.”  The event will be held at the Fonda Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles on November 4.

In the coming months, the “Silver Moon” video will be programmed on television, at outdoor malls, major department stores, retail outlets, fast-food chains, casinos, cruise lines, and hotel. “We are thrilled to hold an exclusive premiere for our fans and share the ‘Silver Moon’ music video,” says Joe Henry the lead vocalist for the band. Event details will be announced soon.

I received the CD “Can Anybody Hear Me” to review and my son and I now are big fans! The music is just beautiful (my words) and is also really cool! (My son’s words) The lyrics are amazing and I really can’t say which song on the CD is my favorite! I really like the title song “Can Anybody Hear Me” but I also really like the songs “Love Will Be The Way” and “Silver Moon.” The one thing that really shines through are the emotional lyrics. They are so easy to relate to and like I said, the music  is beautiful! It’s not often that I receive a CD to review that I know I will want to listen to over and over! I can finally say I have found one with “Can Anybody Hear Me.”

Pamella Roland: 2015 Bridal Collection Look created by Alexis Comforti for Laura Mercier

For Pamella Roland’s first ever bridal collection, makeup artist Alexis Comforti created a flawless makeup look that conveyed “classic, radiant and youthful beauty” evocative of a modern Audrey Hepburn.  The key to this look is Laura Mercier’s classic formula, Silk Crème Foundation ($47), which helps skin look radiant, fresh and photo-ready.

Flawless Face: Radiant, Glowing and Fresh

·         Comforti first prepped skin with Laura Mercier Moisture Crème Broad Spectrum SPF 15, ($53).

·         Next, she mixed Laura Mercier Foundation Primer – Radiance, ($33) and Laura Mercier Foundation Primer – Hydrating, ($33) together to create an even canvas to apply foundation.

·         She then used Laura Mercier Silk Crème Foundation, ($47) and Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage, ($34) as needed to even out the skin tone.

·         Lastly, she applied Laura Mercier Crème Cheek Colour in Rosebud, ($25) on the apples of the cheeks and then faded out the cheekbones with Crème Cheek Colour in Oleander, ($25).

Eyes: Soft and Muted

·         Comforti covered the entire eye area with Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Wheat, ($26) and then layered Laura Mercier Sateen Eye Colour in Guava, ($24) over top.

·         She lightly applied Laura Mercier Matte Eye Colour in Fresco, ($24) in the crease and up to the brow.

·         Next, she applied Laura Mercier Tightline Cake Eye Liner in Mahogany Brown, ($24), using Laura Mercier’s signature “tightline” method to press the colour underneath the root of the upper lash line and on the top of the lash line. She focused the liner at the center of the eye towards the outer corner.

·         On the lower lash liner, she applied the same Laura Mercier Tightline Cake Eye Liner, ($24) at the center of the eye.

·         To finish the look and define the eye, she used Laura Mercier Full Blown Volume Suprême Lash Building Mascara,($25).

·         To flawlessly frame the face, she filled in eyebrows with Laura Mercier Eye Brow Pencil, ($22), which resulted in a heavy, defined brow.

Lips: Full, Customized Colour

·         Models were paired with one of four flower vignettes for the presentation. Comforti created four different lip shades – each one complementing the colour scheme in the models’ respective flower vignette.

·         To do so, she applied Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Lip Colour, ($27) (see below for specific shade) and layeredLaura Mercier Lip Glacé in Cosmic, ($25) on the center of lips to reflect the light.

o    Green Florals: Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Lip Colour in Brigitte, ($27)

o    Yellow Florals: Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Lip Colour in Mango, ($27)

Get The Look: Artistry’s Teresa Palmer at BIFF

Actress Teresa Palmer shined on the red carpet for the Opening Ceremony of the Busan International Film Festival in Busan, South Korea on October 2nd. Below, Artistry® Global Makeup Artist Rick DiCecca shares his tips and techniques for creating Teresa’s luminous look.

Teresa is the Global Face of Artistry®. She starred in recent thrillers including Cut Bank and Warm Bodies, and will appear in the 2015 remake of Point Break, as well as the upcoming movie adaption of Nicholas Spark’s novel, “The Choice.”

All Artistry® products are available at Amway.com.

On Teresa’s Skin:

“To begin Teresa’s look, I prepared her skin with Artistry Youth Xtend™ Serum Concentrate by massaging into the skin from the forehead to the décolleté. Next we added one of Teresa’s favorite Artistry products, Artistry Creme LuXury on the full face, and Artistry Creme LuXury Eye around the eyes.”

On Her Face:

“For the base of her look, I used Artistry Youth Xtend™ Lifting Smoothing Foundation mixed with a touch of the Artistry Youth Xtend™ Serum Concentrate for added radiance. I worked the foundation into a fluffy powder brush, starting in the center of the face and applying the foundation in a circular motion over her entire face.

Next, I used the same foundation in a darker shade under her cheekbones with a brush, to create a subtle contour, and finally set the look with a light dusting of Artistry Exact Fit™ Perfecting Loose Powder, blended over the face.”

On Her Cheeks:

“I applied Artistry Cheek Color in Sunkissed, sweeping the cheek color over the apples of her cheeks and blending towards the ear, to create color and definition.”

On Her Eyes:

“This look focused on the eyes, and I used Artistry Eye Color in Fusion and Magic from the lash line to the crease, and buffed the shadow out into her crease to blur the edge of the shadow.  Next I used Artistry Eye Color in Bone under her brows to highlight.

To finish the eyes, I used Artistry Automatic EyeLiner Pencil in Ebony very close to the upper lash line, smudging the liner into the lash base with a sponge tip. I followed with Artistry Automatic EyeLiner Pencil in Shimmer Black, lifting it up at the eyes’ outer corners for a winged look, and the Artistry Automatic EyeLiner Pencil in Bronze along her lower lash line and smudged into the lash base with a sponge tip.

For mascara, I used one coat of Artistry Signature Eyes Length & Definition Mascara in Black, and a second coat of Artistry Signature Eyes Volume Mascara in Black to the upper lashes.”

On Her Lips:

“I applied Artistry Signature Color™ Lipstick in Daring Red to the lips.”
