Food Huggers Keep Your Food Fresh Longer

Food Huggers Fresh Greens Group Shot   Food Huggers Tomato in Green Hugger

Food Huggers are the newly released and only product that wraps (hugs) leftover fruits and veggies to keep them fresh until you need them next time. Less wasted food is more fresh and healthy food enjoyed by your family. These reusable silicone covers reduce the need for plastic film, tin foil or baggies, all of which end up in landfills.

The motto, “If you love your food, give it a hug” comes from a passionate desire to help people enjoy their food as much as possible. This passion is shared by Michelle Ivankovic and Adrienne McNicholas who first launched the Food Huggers on Kickstarter almost one year ago. The campaign was embraced and supported by over 5,400 individuals, raising more than $183,497 in just 30 days.  Thanks to the success of the campaign, they are now available to everyone on FoodHuggers.com

Food Huggers are easy to use, just pop your leftover fruits or vegetables into a Food Hugger and save it until you need it next. The patent pending design flexes to wrap snugly around leftovers of different sizes and shapes and each set comes with four different Food Huggers to ensure that every leftover half has a Food Hugger that fits. Food Huggers are made with 100% FDA quality silicone, are 100% BPA and Phthalate free and completely dishwasher, microwave and freezer safe.

Food Huggers are also pop on easily to quickly convert small jars, glasses or cups into convenient storage for sauces, soups or leftovers. Popping a Food Hugger on an opened can also helps to keep the contents fresh until you have time to use them.

In addition to the set of four Food Huggers, the team has also developed and launched a dedicated Avocado Hugger to help keep avocados fresh.  Avocado Huggers are sold in sets of two and have a specialized “pit pocket” that folds in or pops out depending if your half has its pit or not.

Food Huggers are an excellent gift for anyone who enjoys fresh foods, wants to improve their health, reduce waste in their home, or get more from their grocery dollars.

I received samples and I really love how they really do keep veggies fresh longer! My favorite is the Avocado Hugger!  They are easy to use and love that they can also be used on an opened can.
